Wanted to stay in NYC, but UN Meeting forced me out of the city (booking at last minute also). Paid big $$ for a stay in Tarrytown, but enjoyed hotel. Older estate property on hill overlooking Hudson in quiet area south of Tappan Zee. Quite north of the city, but if you have to stay in the area, this might be the place. Hotel was not crowded and got a newer (<5 years) room in their atrium section. Staff was very friendly, rooms were average size with nice furnishings. Seems like a big executive retreat, company meeting location so lots of meeting rooms, extra space. Didn't check out facilities beyond my room, but seemed like they had some good stuff. Definitely recommend a stay, particularly if you're travelling and want a place to stay hear the highway. Little too remote/far north of the city for a visit there.
