  1. Needed another short one night stay before my international flight home. Started bidding at $42, next bid $47 and won...Wyndham Berlin Excelsior. Total for one night after taxes/fees = $58. Not bad rate, regular hotel (minimum) direct price is 65 euros (about $85)...so almost saved 50% though. Hotel's website is a bit misleading, their 'standard' room photos aren't shown anywhere on their site...and are alot older/outdate than their site shows (I think it's deluxe on their site). Thanks BB.
  2. Needed a short one night stay in Berlin, while awaiting my next day early flight departure from SXF airport. Limited previous info on BB about the specific zone (I needed something in close proximity to airport only), so I decided to go ahead and book. Thought (and was hoping) it was the Holiday Inn Airport, paid and found out it was the Albergo Hotel. Price $59/night, $72 total after taxes/fees. Unfortunately, very disappointed with Hotwire this time. Searched after, and I could book online direct with hotel (with full cancellation) for $68. CHEAPER! So much for 'secret hot rate'... Hotel was outdated and more of a 3* standard as well.
  3. Got another great price through Hotwire, for a 4-night stay next weekend in Barcelona. 4.5 star and 100% recommended - for just $73 night! Had a good idea from BB forums that it was the Hilton Barcelona, so went ahead and booked (hoping it was that). Indeed it was! Very happy with purchase. $73/night (total with taxes/fees $343). Fantastic compared to cheapest rate I could find online was ~$900 for the same stay, so well over 65% saved! Amenities: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Accessible path of travel Thanks BB!
  4. Thank you! :) Amenities shown as per below: Pet friendly Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access
  5. Needed a stay for two nights in London (UK), decided to use Hotwire to try and snag a deal. Saw 4* Canary Wharf/Docklands area hotel advertised for $60 per night (showed 69% savings tag). Hotel also had '100% recommended' user rating, so decided the deal was too good to pass up. And got the following deal/stay... Hilton London Canary Wharf 100% user rating, and very high on TripAdvisor overall London hotel ratings Price per night offer = $60 Total (with fees/taxes, 2 nights) = $163 I checked the Hilton website after, and the lowest available online rate (advance rate) was $574 for the same stay. Which means the rate I got was a ~72% savings. WOW! Extremely happy with this win (my personal 'best' yet)! Thanks BetterBidding for your HW help and bidding links! Cheers.
  6. Needed a hotel stay for a couple nights in Berlin, and decided to go the PL route after looking at some recent BB reviews/wins. Was seeking a 5* hotel, and was hoping on winning the Berlin Marriott or Pullman (based on recent posts). Ended up going ahead with bidding for 3 nights, as I had some bonus cash in my PL account which required a min 3 night stay to use. Started bidding at $95/night. Re-bid $100, $105, and finally $107 (win), each time adding a extra zone with no 5* stars for re-bid. Had a $10/night PL bonus cash on my account, so my price was $97/night. Total after all taxes and fees (3 nights) is $325 USD. Cheapest available rate online I could find after (for same room, same stay) was $540, so savings of about 40%. Not sure how I feel about this hotel win to be honest. The price was relatively decent, but from recent reviews online it seems that the hotel is very outdated/tired, with inconsistent service, and smelly rooms. Will have to see how things turn out once I arrive/stay...but for now, have to say it's the first time I've been 'underwhelmed' with a given 5* property from PL. Thanks as always though to BB for their Priceline bidding help and links. Cheers!
  7. Hi all, Used the BB PRICELINE links to win. Looking forward to the stay, as it's a 5* property and rated #6 for Cologne hotels on TA. First bid $60/night for 3 night stay (no win), then rebid for $65/night (changing to a 2 night stay)...and won! $65/night winning bid (2 nights). $154 USD total for 2 nights (incl taxes and fees). Cheapest online rate for same stay was $460 USD, so savings of ~66%!!! Thanks BB!
  8. Congrats on your win. I just won this hotel on priceline for a future stay as well, would love to hear your reviews/experience of it after your soon upcoming stay. Thanks! :)
  9. Need a one night stay in downtown Vancouver and ended up getting a 4* at The Georgian Court. Amenities: Free Internet Boutique Hotel Fitness High-speed Internet Restaurant(s) Accessible In-room/bathroom Handicapped Parking $90/night on HW, $110 per night after taxes/fees. Lowest price available I could find was $173 for the same stay, so about a 36% savings. Thanks HW and BB! :)

  11. Needed to book 3 rooms for a short weekend stay in Kitchener/Waterloo. Did a search on BB to get an idea of previous wins...threads were 2+ years old, but I had an idea beforehand (was hoping for HI or Radisson). Ended up being the Holiday Inn Kitchener-Waterloo. Cheapest available online rate (earlybird special, direct from Holiday Inn site) was $257 per room. Through Hotwire, and with help from BB, was able to get each room for $150 total (incl tax/fees) per room. *SAVED OVER 40%!!!* Thanks! :)
  12. According to the HW list, looks like it is likely the Pullman or W Hotel. 5* Pullman Barcelona Skipper Amenities: Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business 5* W Hotel Barcelona REVIEW Amenities: Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa OR Amenities: Near Beach, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry, Spa
  13. Just won this hotel today using PRICELINE link from BB, very happy with the bid. Reviews seem very good, and can't beat the price on a busy weekend in London! FYI, I had to get a hotel for one addition night, as my previoius bidding win (Hilton Olympia for $110 per night, $135 after taxes) was only for the first of 2 (of 3) nights for my trip to London. Started at $82 per night for one zone only (City Bridge), immediate re-bid at $87 with extra zone (Westminister), another re-bid at $90 with extra zone (Docklands)...and win! Winning bid price: $90 Taxes and fees: $25.76 Total charged: 115.76 USD Cheapest rates I found after for the same room were: Novotel website: $294 total per night, Expedia $298, and Kayak $248. So turned out to be an approx 53% savings over the cheapest available rate I could find! Which turns out to be the best (in terms of discount %) win for me so far! :) thanks betterbidding for the help!
  14. Second winning bid ever on Priceline. Started at $95 per night for 3 zones (Chelsea, Mayfair Soho, and Tower Bridge), re-bid right away at $108 per night (adding 2 zones, Kensington Earls Court and Bloomsbury...and won! :) Seeing previous threads, probably could have saved a few extra dollars by trying $100 or $105 per night first, but not worth the hassle in my case. Winning bid price (per night): $108 USD Room subtotal: $216 Taxes/fees: $52.44 Billing total: $268.44 USD Lowest rate for the same room I could find immediately after was approx $419+ total, so overall a savings of roughly 36% off cheapest available rate. Overall pretty happy with the win as the past 1-2 weeks of searching only led to finding out the London (as a whole) is already really booked up for this weekend. Was about to book Hilton Doubletree Tower of London for approx $410 (2 nights), so pretty happy to spend the money elsewhere! ;) Thanks BB.
  15. Hi all! First post as a new user on this forum, so bear with me if something is wrong/incorrect/etc. Bidding for a short one night layover in Stuttgart. Started with $55 (Airport zone only), then re-bid immediately at $60 (adding Central zone)...and won @ $60! Quite happy with the deal, as previous posts for this hotel have been in the $75 to $90 range. Apr 6-7 (1 night) Winning bid = $60 Taxes = $12.41 Total charged (USD) = $72.41 Lowest other online price I could find was 113 euros/night (approx $150.29), so ended up saving about 52% off lowest available rate. Cheers and thanks all! =)
