Wow! congrats on such a great rate! Just last week I bid $140 for a 5 night stay for the end of November, and was rejected. I have an Entertainment Card and was able to finagle a $180USD rate for a non-executive room on an upper floor with an Opera House view. We really wanted to stay at the Marriott, and we really wanted the harbor view, so I decided to settle for 180 instead of chance it on Priceline for any more money and not be SURE of what I was getting. I'm wondering if they didn't offer the $140 rate in November? Peak season? Ohhh the mysteries..... Hope you have a great trip! -Dave

I just tried bidding on the Sydney Harbor Marriott through PL as well. I tried 2 bids: 1 for $90USD and then a second for $125USD. They denied both for a November 25th - 30th stay. Some people have gotten lower rates. I wonder if you have to stay for a week to get the lower price? I rented a car through Priceline once for 10 days and got like a full-sized car for 20 bucks a day. That was a deal. The rates go down a lot if you book a car for an extended time. Does Priceline work hotels that way too? Going to try $140.00 in a few days. That seems to be the most recent success story. Still not a bad deal. -Dave
