  1. finally got a hit at 102$ for Hotel Felix. (using the link of course!) Reviews aren't a 100% positive but I guess we'll see for ourselves! Thank you so much for all your help!
  2. ameneties are: smokefree rooms, fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, high-speed internet access
  3. Thank you for all the advice. I tried 3.5* again for the loop/NMA and went up to 100$ but didn't get anything. At 100$ it didn't at first say "try again right now" but "it looks like we have an answer for you" but after waiting several minutes it went back to "try again right now". I found a 4* NMA-Water Tower-Gold Coast for the exact same details for 102$ on HOTWIRE. Somehow it doesn't seem to work out with PRICELINE for me, what's wrong?
  4. I tried it again today, had to change the arrival date: 3/31-4/4 went up to 100 and didn't get anything for the loop/NMA I guess my only option is to go down on the star level. What would you recommend as a starting bid? What do I have to expect to pay for 3 rooms 3.5 NMA/the loop 3/31-4/4? THANK YOU
  5. thanks for the info. are there any other optinos, though? I read that it's expensive everywhere. we probably wouldn't have to use the car during our stay. would you recommend parking it somewhere else (where?) and then take public transport back to the hotel?
  6. So I tried it today (using your link of course), went up to 90$ for NMA and Loop area but didn't get anything. We were hoping to get something around 90$ and not have to go up to 100$. Is there maybe a better time to bid (weekday/hour)? Also we had another room so that we are up to 3 rooms/six people. Does that make it less likely to get anything? Would you recommend going down on the star levels? What about the 3.5 ones, are they good too or is really only a good deal with the 4 star ones? Any suggestions on how much a 3.5 hotel would be in NMA/Loop? Thanks for your help!
  7. So I'd go with NMA first as thereuare recommended. what offers should I start with? I have seen others getting rooms 70-80$ in the same area, starting with 65. I'd be glad to get that too. thanks for the help!
  8. Thanks for the quick reply. We are rather looking for a hotel well located to get to the tourist attractions so that we don't have to drive too far to get downtown. We don't need one that's right where all the night life is. Is there any other area you would recommend that's close to downtown and less expensive? How much will taxes+fees be? 100$/room "all inclusive" would be great but if that is impossible, I guess we have to pay more ;) thanks
  9. Three friends and I (+1 baby) will be in Chicago 3/30-4/4. we don't have any clues about good areas (heard the loop/streeterville/river north/gold coast). also we are not sure what star level to choose? we won't need a fancy hotel but travelling with a baby you don't want anything shabby. budget is 50$/person (100$/room) any suggestions on bidding? we are also non-us but as far as I can see it shouldn't be a problem, right? thanks
