  1. Hello, I originally wanted to book 3 nights 4/19 - 4/22 but was unsucessful since our max price is $120. I split the dates and was able to win on priceline the Aria for $95 for 4/19. And now I want to bid and see if we could get a 4* for strip North since there's no way we can get a 5* for this price. I searched HOTWIRE and found they have $128 for Mirage (I think...if someone could confirm). We like the idea of staying at Mirage and now if I want to bid on PRICELINE, how much do you think I could get the hote. for? Do you think $90 - $100 bid will win the hotel? Even though our max price is $120, I realize this hotel charges $25 resort fee hence the reduction in our spending limit. Thank you. p.s. we took the advice and booked The Carriage House for a one bed room suite as a back up in case we can't find anything with our budget. But that hotel is obviously not on the strip and some of our relatives want to have the strip experience so...here I am trying to bid away :)
  2. So Priceline only allows to add one night at a time? I just want to confirm that because I only saw option to add Fri 4/20 and not Sat 4/21 that's why I was a bit hesitant. I can try to bid again and see what will happen. Thank you again.
  3. yes, priceline did give me an option for add a night...and I am allowed to add Fri 4/20 for $158...so average, it'll be around $126/night, which is closed to what we had intitially wanted to spend. However, I didn't take it yet because I am not sure if they will allow me to add Sat 4/21 as well. And if so, I'm not sure if the price would be way more than we can afford.
  4. Was unsucessful at $120 for 3 nights so I decided to split the bid 4/19 and 4/20-22. Sucessfully got Aria for $95 on 4/19 Does anybody know how Aria hotel is? Will have to try 4/20-22 later and see...might have to downgrade to 4* or do you think I can call the hotel and extend the stay at Aria for $120/night?
  5. Hi, It will be our first time in Vegas so we're looking to stay as closed to center as possible and I heard that Trump is not exactly on the strip although it's a very nice hotel. So if we can avoid it, it'd be great. I don't think I want to pay as high as the price listed on Hotwire. Looking to spend top $100-$120/night. About the Tropicana, this is a stupid question but Hotwire shows $93/night but Hotels.com shows $86/night. I thought Hotwire is always cheaper??? Am I missing something here. Thank you.
  6. Hello, I searched for 4* and 5* hotels for the above dates and I was able to ID the 5* hotel but for the 4*, I have no clue. Please help. The descriptions are: Need help to ID 4* Strip South area hotel 4/19 - 4/22 (3 nights) This hotel charges a resort fee. This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about US$ 20 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire® total. Amenities: Resort, Casino, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Golf Nearby Recommended: In 85% of Hotwire customer reviews. Thank you.
  7. Yes, I think we're going to take that risk And how low should I start the bid?
  8. I'm thinking it's Trump International based on the list of ammenities. But I'm a newbie here so maybe mod or more experience user could confirm please.
  9. Hello, I am a newbie here needing help to bid on Priceline. There will be 3 adults plus 1 child travelling to Vegas checking in 4/19 and out 4/22. I realize that Friday and Saturday nights will be expensive. I checked Hotwire and the 5* hotels available for those dates are Trump and Aria (I think). So does that mean when I bid on Priceline, those will be the only ones available in the 5* category as well? We'd love to stay at Vdara but Aria is ok, I guess. Also, if Hotwire shows $153 for Aria (strip south), how much lower should I bid? Thank you.
