  1. Hi Unfortunately I come to you guys with a little desperation. I posted a lot on here with my finds for going to Disney. Well the eco being the way it is we have not travelled nearly as much in the past few years that we did prior. So that is why i have been MIA. Well my father just got diagnosed with a very advanced stage of myeloma and they don't think he will make the next week or two if lucky. i need to know the best way to get from NYC to ATL leaving Thursday night. Any tips on how I can get something for my sister and I? Oh this is for flights....thanks. Thanks, Steph
  2. thanks Aaron We loved it there. Very clean and it was in a great location.

  4. I think this is tysons courtyard but it would not match the area correct? $95.00Rate per night: 3-star hotel in The White House - Capitol Hill Hotel Details Check in:silkCheckInDate:Fri, Mar 30, 2007 Sun, Apr 1, 2007Hotel What you'll get: Hotel Amenities Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. 5. $159 after taxes fees. Well I won the Hudson Hotel for NYC staying one night 12/29-12/30. excitedly I went to the website and realized they only offer single double beds for their less expensive rates and I am sure that is what priceline would have booked. So I called priceline and explained. The representative checked and said that is all that hotel offers (limited bedding) so she offered a refund. Priceline never mentions that you could be offered a single double bed since when booking it gives, queen, king or tow doubles as the options. Now the rate was $289 on their website so it was significant savings. Unfortunately there is no way DH and I could share a double bed without wanting to kill each other.
  6. in addition to needing help identifying this hotel, I noticed when I highlighted and selected to paste it here a reference number showed up. I found that odd and was wondering if that helps with identifying. This is the hotel I need help with..... 4-star hotel in Downtown Pittsburgh Customer Favorite! 8. ok I am pretty sure we will go for the Flamingo. DH will be home in about an hour and I will show him the resort and the pool :) Now does EasyClickTravel offer price adjustments if the rates go down? What about if I book directly through the hotel? I will gladly use the link for EasyClickTravel to give you guys credit.
  9. also I booked the car using Alamo. I got my entire trip from Aug 29 to Sept 9th for $354 picking up in Vegas and dropping off at Orange County airport. Is there a link for better bidding for Alamo?
  10. ok so I should probably book directly through the resort then. I have to talk to dh and see which he would prefer. Of course a friend told him the Luxor was cool so he is stuck on that.
  11. Thanks so much I am going to do the car and the hotel in a few minutes so I am psyched that there is a link for this board. Thanks again :) I will report back with my choices. Do you think I should try priceline or is that too much of a crap shoot in Vegas. ironically that was unintentional pun LOL
  12. 3.5-star hotel in Anaheim - Disneyland South Customer Favorite! This distinctive establishment offers comfortable rooms, personal service and some upscale features. See hotel details fitness swimming dining business laundry Area details: Includes many Anaheim hotels, plus nearby Garden Grove and Orange options. $98per room per night customer favorite best value Could this be the crowne plaza?
  13. I don't think I should but should I post this in the priceline board too? Ok ok good to know thanks :) Costco has been really good with the deals comparatively. We got a 9 day 7 pass minivan for $108 in May
  14. Any tips on how I should try for the disneyland onsite resorts? I know it is not like the world and you can be really close at Disneyland. Do you think I can find somewhere discounting Grand Californian or is that a dream? I would need Sept 2nd to the 6th. Disney is giving me a prive of $1916.02 with a 4 day park hopper. I will gladly buy the tickets seprately just to get the hotel costs down if possible. Thanks guys.
  15. This is our plan..... Fly to Vegas, rent a car drive to disneyland fly home from burbank. We have free air vouchers we earned in May. So this question is for the Vegas part (I will have a part 2 question in the Dland/anaheim section). Ok we would like 4 star or higher so far we are getting Luxor for $80 a night. Anything better than that for these dates. I have used hotwire in the past just because I find it easier and I hate having to put the credit card in to fish BUT i will try priceline for vegas. We will have a 5 year old with us so that has to be kept in mind. I know now some hotels don't allow children. Anyone have any hints or tips before I attempt? Also I got a pretty good deal on a rental car for $251 (costco link for budget) for the 28th to 9/2 (returning at Burbank anaheim). Do you think I could do better on rental through hotwire or priceline?
  16. Stayed NYE Dec 31st 2005 till Jan 2nd 2006 I must say this hotel has the BEST staff I have ever encountered while traveling. Friendly and extremely accomodating. My son got sick (from chocking on a piece of popcorn) in the car literally 2 minutes away from the Hyatt and we arrived frantic for help. The bellman hurried and helped my husband while the girl who checked me in upgraded our room so we could get my son in the room and cleaned up. So we got a corner large king room. It was beautiful! Our son who is 5 was completely upset and embarrassed so the immediately available room was a Godsend! The location is great right near Chinatown, the Theater distict (literally next to Macys, Filene's (basement too) right off Washinton ave and 10 minute walk Faneuil Hall Marketplace Quincy market. The room was spacious and clean. It was furnished nicely with a 30+ inch flat screen tv. The health club was nice the pool while dated looking was clean and upkept nicely, the only negative was the pool isn't heated. The 5 year old didn't care but it was hard to stay in for more than 30 minutes for we the adults. Back to the staff.....Aside from all of their help with our disaster with our son we were greated with a smile and a good morning, good afternoon, do we need a cab? etc. they held doors whenever we were around and were always accomodating. The concierge was great also. Very helpful giving directions recommending restaurants and asking if he could call to make dinner arrangements for us. We even had amazing room service (yummy desserts) most room service menus were available till 10:30pm-11:30pm with a special 24 hour menu and a breakfast menu. There is even poolside selections! Unfortunately we never ate in the restaurant aside from room service. From reading the reviews it looks like we missed a great breakfast. We will return to Boston and this lovely hotel. The staff makes it worh returning! BTW Boston is a "walking city" nothing like NYC. It is very easy to get around by foot things are very close by to theis hotel. We even walked to the Museum of Science. Not recommended though because of construction we cabbed it back BUT my point is that Boston is definitely doable on foot if you like to walk. Most things within 15 walking minutes of the hotel :)
  17. Dec 31st check out the 2nd $103 before taxes per night. An odd thing happened though. Prior to logging in it was $101 a night then when I signed in it went up to $103. But still a great savings compared to $189 from the hyatt site :)
  18. INFO PRIOR TO BOOKING :) Details for your 3.5-star hotel in Quincy Market - Financial District Hotel Amenities: Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center High-speed Internet Access Business Center Total of $234 after taxes for 2 nights :)
  19. This was my original post and my first hotwire booking! Check in was a breeze! I guess we were treated just how full price customers are treated because it was very easy and they have our rooms to be side by side on the 9th floor. Awesome view overlooking the concourse. It was amazing. The convienence of staying on site at the airport is fantastic. We booked this because we were doing a Disney Cruise the next day and it is so worth it. Having the vacation be less rushed is awesome! The pool on the roof was also really amazing! Very relaxing night I must say. Dining was disappointing. Since we have children we couldn't eat at their fine dining restaurant but ate at their "Grill" One I forgot the name but the selction wasn't great and the kids meals were hotdogs or PBJ sandwhiches. Really limited. We wound up eating there and then taking the kids for a second meal at McDonalds LOL. If we had did a little legwork prior to sitting down to eat we would have seen that there is a Macoroni Grill, TGI Fridays and a CHili's in the concourse. BUMMER! Security is good too. You have to use you room key to get to any of the roomed floors by elevator. The only floors accessible to the general public were 5 (where the lobby check in is and the floor with the restaurants and bars. So that was nice to see. The rooms are redone so they are beautiful inside. The hotel overall is older but I would definitely stay again. I am not sure I would give it 3 stars though. It seems to need more updating. There is no whirlpool by the pool although there are two areas for where it would be perfect. The pool iteslf is amazing. It is the no egdge type. So definitely a thumbs up and a bargain if you book through hotwire!! :)
  20. Thanks for the welcome!! And Thereuare I couldn't now agree more. You "get me " LOL!! I so wanted that hotel so for me the $20 more I could have saved on priceline was outweighed by the probabilities. I am now addicted to hotwire LOL. I wish I had the guts to try it sooner!
  21. Thanks. This was my first time and I was really nervous. I really wanted that hotel and since you can compare the amenities prior to booking at least I felt I had more of a "chance". I was always chickened out on priceline LOL. Now with having luck on hotwiore I will try priceline in the future when it doesn't really matter where I stay.
