Hi there, First time poster on this forum. I recently started browsing through here and have learned quite a lot but I still need some help! I have been trying to book a hotel for June 9th to June 12th. I understand that is also Electric Daisy Carnival weekend so most if not all hotels will have increased prices but I'm still holding hope to get a better deal if possible. One main issue is that I would like to stay as close to the strip as possible (so no Trump, no Stratosphere, etc) ... preferably close proximity on and off the strip. So far I have been following other betterbidding member's advice and bidding for a 5* on Las Vegas North & South strip while avoiding North Strip Condo so as to not accidentally win Trump, but I have unsuccessfully re-raised my bid all the way up to $174 with no luck. Now I'm hesitant to go any higher because at this rate I'm already paying more than if I just directly booked at Trump and I'm only $11 under Vdara's asking price. My only other alternative is to start bidding at 4* now but I don't have as much knowledge regarding this. I would personally like to avoid Treasure Island, Flamingo and Tropicana. I'm ok with Monte Carlo or New York which are both running around $120 & $139 respectively, cheaper than TI. I'm not sure if I'm making much sense here sorry I'm extremely new to all this. What bid should I start at and should I be re-adding zones like I did with the 5* bidding? Thank you for reading!
