Tried a number of bids in the last week with no free bids for a 2.5 starting @ $48 for two nights. I also tried for a 3 star for about $5 higher before dropping to a 2.5. Other members in my wedding group succeeded via Hotwire at this hotel for $52, a month or so ago. Timing is everything. This will work fine as I am with most of the people in my group.

With tax 65.92 per room

Price with tax is $72.70 per night. Would have preferred Huntington Beach but saw this hotels location and was able to bid with this hotel in mind (watching the non-bidding prices).

Worked at this over several months with no luck until 13 days before check-in. Tried several different bidding approaches down as low as 2.5 stars. Several times I bid with coupons up to $132 and was rejected. With tax, price per room is 143.33. Several years ago I got this hotel for $85 over Thanksgiving.

On my first bid of $50 (after 6 failed bids the previous day) I was offered the opportunity to bid $62 "right now". I passed on the offer and continued my planned bidding and was accepted at $ 54 per room - $65.92 with taxes. Interestingly the previous day my $56 bid was rejected.

I had a one day bonus cash offer of $7 on a 3.5 star or better hotel. My bids of 35 and 39 were rejected with the $44 dollar accepted on the third try. Note that with the bonus cash the bid to the hotel was 44 + 7 or $51. Total with tax for two nights is $108.16

Started with $35 for 3 stars and worked up to $43 with 3 free bids. Total of 56.91 with taxes. Priceline "list" price was $109 today.

First bid was for 3 star @ $39 and was rejected but provided an "offer" to get a free rebid if I increased the bid to $50. I passed on that an added a couple of areas and was rejected at $41 and then accepted at $43. Total price $55.96 with tax.

After looking closer at the board, I changed my strategy to go after 3.5's in Sawgrass and Plantation areas. Was rejected at 52 and accepted at 55. I had tried multiple times looking for 2.5 or 3.0 near Downtown with a max bid of 63, all rejected. Three days ago a bid of $60 in both Sawgrass and Plantation was rejected........ 4 nights including tax was 255.88
