We used some frequent flier points to include 3 days in Edmonton over Christmas, among other things. Wanted a downtown hotel, never went below 4* for bidding. Tried $75, $80, (adding a 3* zone each time) then was accepted at $85. Best internet found price was $136 in comparison. We always book early for trips because we've heard stories of people not getting what they want in the location they want. Booked through BetterBidding's PRICELINE link. Happy, Jo

We have stayed before in this hotel and it is great. The suite has a kitchenette, it's virtually a 1-bedroom apartment. The hotel is on a quiet residential street of apartments and other similiar residence hotels. Going for a 'girlfriend's weekend' of museum and shopping. Thanks Better Bidding for this website! So pleased about the price. First, went to Priceline through your website and they still didn't accept my bid of $75 for 3.5*. I gave up knowing that Hotwire had a 3* for $69.

Using all the strategies offered by this website and bidding via the link on this site to PRICELINE, finally got an airport hotel for $97 for January 2nd, the night before our 6:30am flight to catch our cruise. We needed a hotel with a 24 hour shuttle, one that could take us just minutes to the hotel at 3:30 am! Over 4 days, I tried bidding from $70, in various increments. This hotel is one block from my husband's office and we will park our car for free, in the company parking lot for our 10 days south. We particularly wanted the Crowne Plaza hotel because of this handy location. I realize there was no guarantee we would get it. TIP: Take advantage of the Priceline bidding strategies given on this website! MONTREAL DORVAL is Zone 2 (the one I wanted) ~ I did some researching of hotel reviews (and calling to check what time shuttle runs started) and decided I wouldn't want a hotel lower than 3.5 stars. Zone 1 and 3 both had 3.5 and 4 stars (ruled this one out for bidding) Zone 4, 5, 6, and 7 had up to only 3 stars (I used these zones each time a bid was not accepted, to get another chance to bid, since my dates were unchangeable) Thanks for these tips BETTER BIDDING!

Decided to post my win AFTER we were there. Paid $77.63 Cdn. It was a one bedroom suite and the livingroom had a pull-out couch. Very comfortable, clean. Front desk staff were always friendly, professional and helpful. We stayed just one night for a quick holiday in Ottawa. Situated near Elgin street where there are restaurants. The hotel itself is in a quiet residential street with other hotels that look like highrise apartments. The kitchen had a microwave, apartment-size fridge with freezer, coffee maker, stove and oven. Also, the cupboards had dishware, drawer had cutlery. Everything you'd need to cook. NEGATIVES: Just no dishsoap to wash dishes. And parking costs $14 overnight. The decor was modern, clean and tasteful. There was a plasma screen TV in the bedroom, and a big TV in the livingroom. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer all there. No complaints! Would definitely go again. I was frankly "wow"ed by the amenities for the price I paid on Hotwire. Used your link to book on HOTWIRE. First time I used HOTWIRE. Normally use PRICELINE for bidding.

I needed a 1 night stay really close to the airport. I was praying I'd get the Marriott Houston Airport because of the direct monorail to and from the airport.. early morning flight the next day. After reading others' wins, and using the strategy of indicating zones without the 3.5* hotels.. it worked! My $61.00 bid was finally accepted, after starting low at $39.00 and trying 8 times, raising the price a little at a time. I am really satisfied. This airport is normally $249.00 per night. Booked a cruise in January 2013 leaving from San Juan, Puerto Rico. I know it's early but I am organized and wired that way! Tried yesterday for a 3.5 * and up, hotel near Old San Juan, using Better Bidding's tips on adding zones that don't have 3.5* hotels. Finally gave up at $101.00 Tried today starting at RESORT hotels and $110.00 To my astonishment, we were accepted for Marriott San Juan Resort And Stellaris Casino. Only 3 miles from Old San Juan. Regular price for one night is $359.00 according to the Marriott's website. (I bid through the PRICELINE link on this website of course) Now having read another winning bid, I wonder if I could have shaved off a few dollars? Anyway, I am EXTREMELY happy.

Not only have I gotten this price for ourselves, but I told friends of ours, tried the same priceline bid for them and got the same price. will post it in a separate WIN! Very pleased, this hotel is right downtown beside the tourist area Byward Market.
