  1. I tried unsuccessfully to bid for a hotel in University Park or Downton Pittsburgh on Priceline for January 16-17, 2012. I had seen earlier that Hotwire had a downtown, 3.5 star hotel for $75 a night, so was unwilling to bid more than $75 on Priceline. When I bid $75 on Priceline for a hotel in University Park, they countered at $96. On Hotwire, I selected Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland and saw an offer for a 3.5 star hotel in Downton Pittsburgh. The amenities were: Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Based on the Hotwire hotel list, I figured it would be the Doubletree or Sheraton Station Square. I'm very happy I got Sheraton Station Square for $75 before tax. Thanks for your help!
  2. This hotel is very close to the Green Line of the subway which will take you to Copley and Fanueil Hall. It is a little alternative in style (leopard print and very ornate), but fun and nice.
