I tried what you said but my bids were all rejected! Think I understand how to go about it now though so thanks for the help. Was just wondering what I should do next. Increase my maximum bid? Or would I have more chance if I selected a 2* in UWS / UES? I'm not planning on spending much time at all in the hotel so am reluctant to spend too much.

Hi! I'm new to Priceline and have never been to New York or America for that matter so would really appreciate some help! I am looking for a double room arriving July 18th leaving July 24th. I am not fussy about what star rating as long as we stay in a safe area and would ideally like to be near Central Park if possible. We were going to stay in a hostel but it was fully booked. That was going to cost $100 per night so something around that price - no more than $120 if possible. Please could someone give me advice on how to bid. I m confused! :) Thanks Nicki
