Tried again yesterday. Started with the usual 80 to 103 on NMA and the loop as per above. The last round I did $10 increments leading up to $160 and no luck. Thinking I may need a new strategy for these two areas with 3.5 star.

No luck today bidding from 80 all the way up to 120.

Ran through the plan again with no luck. Still patiently plugging away.

Gave it another go and no luck. Still stubbornly plugging along. More updates to come.

Excellent advice. I ran through all of the bids last night with no luck. I was wondering if there is a rough rule of thumb when the hotel chains start lowering their pricing? Is it roughly 4 weeks or less to the target date?

I was hoping to spend under $120/night. I'd be over the moon to get something under $100

Hi there, I'm looking to get a good deal on a 4* in either Magnificent Mile or Grant Park area for Oct 14 to 17. Any advice would be appreciated as I'm new to bidding on hotels through Priceline and Hotwire. Cheers!
