  1. I forgot to add that the 3* Eastham hotel is Four Points by Sheraton Eastham Cape Cod.
  2. Thank you for your suggestions! After trying again and again today and talking to support twice and chatting again twice, I was about to give up. I was told that the message meant lack of availability and to try a PRICELINE EXPRESS offer. I did and still received the same message. So using the PRICELINE link, I bid $72 on a 3* Cape Cod - Eastham hotel. I did not log into my priceline account and entered all the credit card info. My bid went through and was rejected. Priceline countered for me to up my offer by $14 to $86. I increased my offer to $76 and it was accepted. Thank you for suggesting that I not log into my account. I guess something in my account info triggered an error message that no one in support was familiar with. I spent way more time on this than it was worth, but I was frustrated and wanted to figure it out. Thanks again.
  3. I was bidding on a Cape Cod - Eastham 3* hotel for 10/8 - 10/10. Received the error message many many times. Do you know what it means?
  4. I have been trying to bid on a hotel in Eastham all day. I keep getting the same error message and don't know why. I have talked to support and chatted twice. They say just try again. Does this message mean that the hotel does not have availability? We're sorry :( Your reservation could not be completed. Don't worry. This happens sometimes. You might be wondering… was my hotel booked? There are two ways to find out if your request went through. Check your email. If your hotel was booked, you will receive an email within the next hour. Check the priceline website. Tap below to search for this request on the website.
  5. Used the PRICELINE link to bid. First bid was $50. Reply suggested adding $9. I added Fall River-Somerset area and bid $55. It was accepted and I think I got an excellent price.
  6. I don't know if I'm disappointed, because I haven't stayed there yet. I am concerned after reading the reviews of the property and if the reviews are accurate, I'm surprised that Priceline still uses that hotel. I was asking for some input from others who have stayed there recently.
  7. I bid successfully for the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel. I then read some horrible reviews of the hotel regarding bed bugs and hotel condition. It is a Priceline 3* property. Are there problems with that hotel? I'm wondering if the reviews are accurate and if so do I have any recourse with Priceline?
  8. For several days, I've been bidding for either a 3.5* or a 3* hotel in the La Guardia airport zone. Used the PRICELINE link and your rebidding strategy several times with no success. I did not want to pay more the $120. Last night I bid up to $115 for a 3*. Tonight I received a counter offer for my $95 bid, suggesting I up my bid to $121. I decline and continued my rebidding process. My bid for $105 was accepted. I'm happy with my result.
  9. Spent 2 days bidding 4* for downtown zone using rebidding strategy. My highest bid was $125 which was not accepted. So I went to 3.5* and started the rebidding process again. Priceline countered twice suggesting I bid $141. I didn't accept their offer and continued incrementing my bids. Final bid of $125 was accepted. The rebidding strategy works well. I used the PRICELINE link many times.
  10. I forgot to mention that I did use the PRICELINE link. I used it several times by closing the browser and clicking on the link to do my rebidding.
  11. Used your rebidding strategy for 3 rebid zones. First bid was $70. Incremented bids by $5 and the fifth bid for $90 was accepted. Not the best price for that property, but I'm happy. Any savings is a good thing!
  12. I tried the rebidding process as outlined in other postings. Started with a bid of $120. Incremented bids by $5 and my bid for $145 was accepted. Thanks for all your useful info. I used the PRICELINE link.
  13. I'm also trying to get a hotel in the LGA area. I tried your suggested strategy, but was not successful. I then tried starting with LGA and rebid zone 2, but it was rejected as a duplicate. If there are only 3 rebid zones, do I now have to wait 24 hrs.
  14. First bid was 2.5* for $80. Next day bid 2.5* for $88. Today's bid for 2.5* at $95 was accepted. I was hoping for Holiday Inn Express. For Labor Day weekend, I think it is a good price.
  15. Don't see any results for Gunnison. Wondering if the 2.5* hotel is the Holiday Inn Express. Priceline (not name your own price) shows it 2.5*, but most internet sites give it 3*. Are the star ratings and hotels the same for priceline hotels and name your own price hotels? Can you check the regular hotel list to see what hotels will be used if you 'name your own price'?
  16. Used the PRICELINE link and bid $46. I was pleased that my first bid was accepted. I'm looking forward to staying at the Hyatt Place.
  17. Bid $48 for 3* Denver (airport). First bid was accepted and upgraded to 3.5* Marriott. I didn't know Priceline did upgrades. Seems like a good deal!
  18. 3* hotel in Denver (airport) - Aug 27th for $68. Amenities: Airport Shuttle Complimentary breakfast Fitness Center Pool Business Center Internet Access Recommended by 95% of Hotwire customers The 3* hotels in hotel list have either laundry or smoke free rooms. Does the price seem high for that area?
