Hello, I am looking to stay in Union Square West - Nob Hill at a 4* hotel on 9/8 and 9/9 (check out on 9/10) I would also be OK with a 4* Union Square East. I have bid up to $145 without success. Priceline did respond saying if I increased my bid to $164, I could do so without making changes. Should I wait until the date gets closer or would you say this is an appropriate price? I am willing to go to $150 but would obviously like to save money if possible. I would also consider a 3.5* if I could get it for a bit less. Any feedback is appreciated! Thank you, Marissa

Just won a Priceline bid for 4* hotel in Monterey, CA for September 3 & 4 for Portola Hotel & Spa at Monterey Bay. Have been bidding for about a week, starting at $100 & went up $5 each time. When I bid 130, Priceline was going to allow me to bid once more without making changes if I raised my bid to $155. I tried $140 today and was successful. Nothing like the $70/night I got it for last October, but still not bad price for a holiday weekend. :)
