  7. Hi again, the 4* priceline express hotel is in zone "Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park". I went to the hotel "Hyatt Regency Chicago" website and it offers a shuttle, but they mention on their site that it is not free. Not sure this is the one, but something gives me the feeling it is. Thanks!
  8. Sorry I didn’t make myself clear thereuare. I think AaronJB has it right. What I meant to say is that I'm now looking to get the dates of 5/26/13-5/31/13. I tried bidding last night on priceline using another members bidding example(summermonger) and was rejected. The following is what I tried. Select 4* NMA-River North... Bid $75, rejected added free-bid zone 11... Bid $80, rejected added free-bid zone 6... Bid $85, rejected added free-bid zone 5... Bid $90, rejected added free-bid zone 4... Bid $93, rejected added free-bid zone 3... Bid $95 - rejected again. I have a couple of questions to ask you if you don’t mind. 1) Do you think if I wait and bid again I could get it for under $100? 2) Also When bidding last night I didn’t include the zone "Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area" #7 because I’m not sure if this is a good downtown area. Should I include it and if so, what would be the best priceline strategy using the example above. 3) Also, I notice that If I search on hotwire/priceline express for a day less, meaning 5/26 -5/30, the prices seem to be much lower. For example there is a priceline express 4* hotel for $88 with the Guaranteed Amenities: Restaurant Airport Shuttle Business Center Fitness Center Can you give me a guess as to what hotel this could be? I'm thinking that maybe I can tell the front lobby people to hold my bags until i switch to a different hotel. Thanks thereuare and AaronJB for helping me out!
  9. Hi and thanks for responding back to me. Since prices will be high during this time, I guess I can work around to getting a hotel for the following week, 5/26/13-5/31/13 since I have a convention 5/23 - 5/25 in nashville(trying to extend the work convention hehe) Can you help me? I Would like to stay in the $100 or lower(hehe) a night. Maybe you can help me with a bidding strategy on priceline? And/or hotwire? Thanks!

I just purchased it for $59 a night, for the dates of 09/03/11-09/05/11. When searching for west palm beach on hotwire it comes out with the title of "Palm Beach Gardens - North Palm Beach area hotel " 2.5* rating. Ofcourse I used the HOTWIRE link given here. Thanks for all your help.
  19. Thanks for the suggestions Doubleplay! I will do as you said and keep on bidding until I get a very good deal. White House Capitol Hill sounds good, i dont want to be in a ghost town, no way jose. :) I'm also open to splitting up the days with different hotels, that might be an option. BGarcia thanks for the info!
  20. Thanks for getting back to me. What I would really like is to get a hotel like the one that a user won a bid for the 3.5* DC (Convention Center-Capitol Hill) Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill for $75. Right now the Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC Franklin Square hotel is going for $99 regular price in hotwire's regular site, no hidden name. Something like that for cheaper would also be ideal. (I'm just trying to get a nice deal since im a cheapo, hehehe) How would I bid for a hotel like this? Thanks for all your help! Richard
  21. Thanks for the recommendations! After doing a little reading on this wonderful blog, I found a user that won a bid for the 3.5* DC (Convention Center-Capitol Hill) Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill for $75 on 8/20/11-8/23/11. The link that i found it was here: Priceline Washington DC JFYI. I also see this hotel listed on Orbitz and other sites for a nightly rate of $137 for my nights. Do you think that I can get a hotel for around this price at around this location? I know the $95 - Fairfax at Embassy Row is a good price, but I wouldnt mind going for a little bit lower star rating for a little bit lower price. Also, do any of these hotels include free breakfast? Thanks for all of your help that you have given me. :) Richard
  22. I'm going to be staying at DC for the first time and really don't know the area, can you help me find a 3* + hotel at a good price(Not sure what the market price is) thats around the tourist spots? I'm not going to have a car so my next question is, are trains used alot to travel in the city? I'm going to be staying for 4 nights from 12/28/2011 through 1/01/2012. Thanks in advance for you help! Richard
  23. Wow you were dead with the name of that $98 hotel. I just booked the first two nights for $98 each and it was the Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Chelsea. I will now do as you said and try to see if the price comes down for the 3rd night, if anything(since im going with the wifey), i could purchase the 3rd day directly from their site which currently is at $203, making the complete 3 nights for a nightly rate of $133 which is definitely not bad. Since I have time I will definitely wait and keep on trying to see if the prices drop a bit. Thanks!
  24. Hello again thereuare, After doing a little research, like looking at nyc in google street view(it looks like i can walk from one hotel to the other?) I'm thinking of getting the $98 Chelsea/Madison, but have a question. Do you know what this hotel could be? 2.5* Chelsea - Madison Square Garden area hotel (0.0 - 1.2 mi from city center) With the following amenities: smoke free/complimentary breakfast/fitness center/business center/high speed internet access Its going for $176 for the night of the 27th of Dec. Thanks! Richard
