  1. Thanks mate. hoping to have a run of luck at the casino. I know what you mean about leaning on them. Unfortunatly I was calling from the UK which is not the cheapest so didn't want to get into too much of an argument. Just have to use a few of the contacts i got there to try get a comp upgrade :) Thanks again for your help. Great website. Will recommend it to collegues and friends :)
  2. Thanks thereuare. I thought it was a very good rate and as we stayed there when we got married holds some good memories :) I did call the luxor and surprisingly i was actually told if you can get that rate then you better book it as we can't price match. Very confusing considering what is on their website but hey. So I booked it earlier. Amazing that the travel agents can still at time get the best rates :) Thanks for all the help.
  3. Would you believe Travel agents local to us are offering a standard room at luxor for $113.46 per night inc all taxes. Thats the only reason I was tempted. Compared to luxor's own rate of $133.50 per night inx taxes. Wife loves luxor as thats where we stayed when we got married so thought about going back. Was just hoping if I could get a cracking deal on venetian like some are available it would be fantastic. She don't like monte carlo :). Has a thing about her themed hotels. Would love to stay in the mirage. Budget is approx max of $160 inc tax. $140 ex tax. Thanks thereuare
  4. Thanks TBQ. I knew something was going on as a lot of the hotels are either expensive or black out dates. Looks like it might be back to luxor and the local travel agents. Was just hoping for somethine a bit more special for our wedding anniversary. Such is life.
  5. Oh well thats torn it. Tried 5* starting at $110 re-jected Tried 5* At $120 re-jected Tried 5* At $130 re-jected Tried 5* At $140 re-jected Tried 5* At $145 Re-jected. I guess I am looking a little low. Wife don't like the idea of not knowing that it is definatly the venetian. Tried to re-assure her the Venetian and Bellagio were the only two 5* hotels but she is much more cautious that me :) Anyone know how I can re-assure her some more? Am I bidding to low as well as the median price displayed it $181 Do I actually have to bid over this? Cheers
  6. Thanks. That makes sense now. Looks like only 5* is in the strip area. So I guess that leaves it to Bellgio and Venetian with the chances being it i will be venetian :)) Sounds good to me.
  7. Are they the only 5* on price line in the whole of vegas BTW or is there hotels in other areas I should be cautious of? I can only think of bellagio, venetian and wynn and I am guessing wynn won't be on these types of websites yet. Just want to stay on the strip and no in HRH.
  8. Thats very decent of you Thereuare. Currently price line is showing median of $187. Dates of stay are a very busy period this year which wis wierd which is 26th Sept - 30th Sept. Was going to start at $100 and work my way up in 5's. Cheers for the help.
  9. Hi, A real newbie question here. If I select on price line "Las Vegas Strip Vicinity" as the check box and 5* is that the correct selection for the venetian and bellagio. I'm just nervy and hoping that is the right selection. If I can convince the wife I'll be starting bidding tonight :)) Cheers Steve
