  1. Because of Nashville Marathon, most of hotels around downtown are fully booked or few left with high prices for this weekend. I've used Priceline express deals for first time, and pretty much satisfied with it. Only one thing I wanted to have is indoor swimming pool. and it was guaranteed in this deal. Amenities were -Free Internet in room -Indoor Swimming Pool -Outdoor Swimming Pool -Restaurant -Business Center -Fitness Center guest score 8.0/10 Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center seems like pretty cool place! Good enough for me to relax before my run and rest after I finish :)
  2. Since I plan this trip a week ahead of travel date, and I had a back up plan for staying (my friend's apartment) I waited until the last minutes to book the hotel. I was on both Hotwire and Priceline for about a week, and finally got The Langham @$231. I think it was really nice deal compare to other 4* hotels were around $240. Amenities were -Indoor pool(s) -Fitness Center -Pool(s) -Restaurant(s) -High-Speed Internet Access -Spa Services I'm always using the links from BB when I search and book hotels :)
  3. I booked yesterday, (a day before the trip) through Hotwire. I raised my bid up to $240 for four stars but no luck with priceline. I got The Langham Chicago for $231. :) Will post this win on Hotwire forum as well. Thanks for all your help!!
  4. Hi! As my trip is close to less than a week, I like to ask some help. I added Chicago on my trip at last minute, I need a hotel on Oct.1st. I am not a tourist so the hotel doesn't have to be on the main stream, however I want a nice hotel that I can relax and have great food nearby. Can you give me some suggestions on bidding zones? I have tried North Michigan Avenue *4 and up for $152 and rejected. Is there any free zone that I can add when I rebid? Appreciate for all your help : ) +forgot to mention, I used the PRICELINE link from BB
  5. I have used priceline for many times, but this reservation was unusual. first I tried $159 / five starts / Buckhead area no luck and they asked to raise $43 to try again. I avoid their offer and add 4.5 stars. second, $143 / 4.5 and 5 stars / Buckhead area still no luck. Third, $143 / 4.5 and 5 stars / Buckhead and Atlanta midtown area Oh well, I got the 'Intercontinental Buckhead' which is five star hotel in buckhead! I don't know how this happen, they rejected me with higher price. :P I guess I had some luck! I always use a PRICELINE link from betterbidding. :)
  6. I started with 4* @110, no luck. I kind of guessed it is going to be Sonesta Resort Hilton Head if I go to 3.5* since the deal on the Hotwire sounded like that property. After adding 3.5* I lower the bid to 106 and landed on Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. I am pretty happy with this deal since the list price is $229 for that night. :)
  7. 8/30-8/31 $61 I just forgot to mention that I used the HOTWIRE link!!!

  11. I was bidding for Oahu for last three weeks without success. (It was bit weird because I got Maui resort at one shoot, which was very surprise) Finally I won Marriott Waikiki Beach and Spa at $126. I was little disappointed, since lots of people won this property at cheaper price. But I do understand that it is a peak season and close from travel date. Thanks for your help! I think I'm getting addicted to priceline bidding : ) (forgot to mention that I used the PRICELINE link)
  12. I was looking for a hotel near the bridge. Upon my search, 3.5* hotels in this area was around $150. So I just gave a shoot of $73 and it was accepted. I need to stay three more nights from July 6th, Do you think is this a good deal to extend my stay? (after I got accepted I found other hotels at the same rating was lot cheaper than this) Any advise will be appreciated. (and of course, I used a PRICELINE link from betterbidding : ) Thanks
  13. Did you choose Resort level or 4* level? I really want Sheraton Waikiki, so I bid @110 right after I saw this post but denied. I tried up to $125, but not worked. Should I include 4* to my selection?
  14. I finally got a resort at Maui!!! I am really happy w/ the result :) Now I'm hunting for Waikiki beach resort (hopely Sheraton) Thanks for being a great resource!!!! And Yes! I used PRICELINE link from this wonderful site.
  15. I tried strip north first w/ $91 and was rejected. Tried again including strip south with $76 and accepted. Would been better if I got cosmopolitan, however I am happy w/ my bidding. (total including tax is less than $100 :)
