  1. had to try it in a rush, so used your strategy above and just changed the amounts. I was able to get a room at the Intercontinental Monterey The Clement for $250 before taxes. Thanks again for your help :D
  2. No such luck! Do you mind coming up with a strategy to try today that goes up to 275 before taxes and fees, but we would only book for one night, september 29th. Thanks for all your help!
  3. That's what I figured. I'll give it a go and let you know what happens! :) We'll go up to 165 before taxes and fees. Thanks for your help!
  4. I am looking for a 4* hotel in Monterey for September 28 - September 30. Our maximum budget is $150/night including taxes. Do you think it's possible to win a room with that pricing and so close to the date? Thanks for any insight you can provide!
  5. Used your PRICELINE link and bid was accepted at $138 for the Hilton London Kensington... looks like its on the outer edge of the Notting Hill priceline map... not as close as I would like it to be, but looks like a nice hotel. Thanks for all your help!
  6. Thanks for the info... I'll just keep trying 4 star for the heck of it until I reach $200 then will start with 3 stars since I have plenty of time... :) tried $120/$130 today, but was rejected.. will try again... can't stay more than 2 nights, so no go for the apartments, but thanks for all the advice!
  7. Used your PRICELINE link and went up to $136 but was rejected. Will give it a go tomorrow. Thanks!
  8. I'll go up to $150... can you please let me know how I should bid if that is my max? Thanks for all your help :)
  9. Thanks, I tried at $100 and $110 with no luck - will continue and let you know how it goes.
  10. Hi, I used your PRICELINE link and tried again today with no luck. I did get an offer to raise my price by $30 bucks, but that would bring it it to $150 so I just kept going with the above bids. I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks!
  11. Thanks, I used your PRICELINE link but was rejected on all bids. Can you please revise to include Notting Hill? Thanks again!
  12. I am looking for a 4* or 5* hotel in London for September 9 - September 11, 2011. Our maximum budget is $150/night including taxes. Do you think it's possible to win a room in either of the first two zones with that pricing? If not, than our third choice would be the Notting Hill area. Thanks for any help you can provide! :) 1st zone choice: Westminster 2nd zone choice: Mayfair Soho 3rd zone choice: Notting Hill - Bayswater
  13. Thanks for the info.. after researching a bit more that day, I realized the IBC conference was at the same time :) We did book a room at Hotel Central Park which is not as close as I would like it to be, but wanted to have something secured. I did bid PRICELINE the other day at $85 and $95, but was rejected - I'll try again with the strategy noted. If we went up in price to $200/night incl taxes (since that's how much Hotel Central Park is), should I just keep upping the bid each day until I reach the limit? Thanks again for your help!
  14. Hello - This is my first post here :) I'm looking to book a 4* in Amsterdam for September 12-14 and would like to stay in the City Center and Museum Quarter zone. My budget is anywhere from $70-$100. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
