  1. On 3/31/06 bid $51 for 2.5* Napa-Sonoma (Santa Rosa - Rohnert Park - Petaluma). We were hoping for the Courtyard by Marriott downtown Santa Rosa. Bid accepted! and we were upgraded to Hilton Sonoma County / Santa Rosa, a 3* hotel. $51 per night plus $14.22 taxes and fees = $65.22 total. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago and the room needed a lot of maintenance, plus the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. We are hoping the rooms have been updated since our last visit.
  2. On 1/9/06 bid $55 for 4* for Napa - Sonoma (Santa Rosa - Rohnert Park - Petaluma) Rejected but Priceline gave a one time opportunity to raise the bid by $15. Decided to do this since we have been wanting to try this hotel for some time. Bid $70 keeping everything else the same. Accepted. Hyatt Vineyard Creek $70 for 2 nights = $140 $5 Travel Insurance Per Night = $10 Taxes and Fees = $27.35 Total = $177.35 We are looking forward to our stay :) Thanks everyone for all your help on this website. BTW, has anyone needed to use their travel insurance before and was it hard to get reimbursed for the hotel cost?
  3. Hi, I am a "newbie" to better bidding and Priceline. Thank you to everyone for all your helpful posts on this website! I am hoping to stay at Hyatt Vineyard Creek in Santa Rosa on 8/7/05. This is a 4* in Napa - Sonoma area. The Hyatt Website indicates rooms starting at $159 that night. Here is what I have tried so far: Bid $55 for 4* santa rosa

  5. Wanted a last minute get away to the wine country over Memorial Day weekend. We were hoping for the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Santa Rosa. Checked their website and saw they were full Saturday 5/28 and rooms started at $119 Sunday 5/29. Didn't have 72 hours available to us for a rebid so didn't try too low. Bid $65 for 2.5* Santa Rosa Rohnert Park - Petaluma Upgraded to Doubletree Hotel Sonoma Wine Country Checkin Sunday May 29, 2005 Checkout Monday May 30, 2005 Price $65 Taxes $15.68 Total Charges $80.68 Very nice hotel with beautiful lobby. Initially gave us a room next to the housekeeping closet which was very noisy (they were cleaning all afternoon). Front desk helpful and moved us to a new room.
