First off, I think the W is not in Beverly Hills - West Hollywood, but rather is in Hollywood proper. But more importantly, I'm surprised that they told you not to bring kids. How many kids are we talking here, two, or more than two? I just did a search on the Hotels website for the same dates and its showing availability for rooms with 2 queen beds. I'm a little concerned because I've been bidding for 4* in Hollywood, hoping to get this or the Loews, and I have two young children as well.

I was mainly seeing prices close to $200 on Hotwire, so I had previously booked the Radisson using Cash & Points for about $155+10,000 points a night. I checked Hotwire again today, saw a 3* for $132, so I thought I'd try bidding again. Started at $120, got it on first try. Pretty good deal for an okay property, I think. Fisherman's Wharf seems to be a little more expensive than Union Square, but I'm traveling with my 2 young kids, so I thought this area was preferable. I used the betterbidding.com PRICELINE link, of course.

Went a little cheap on this one, hopefully I can use the extra money for a nicer hotel the following weekend, on 6/2-6/4. I tried 3* airport hotels, I think I bid up to $80 without success. Thanks for your help, BetterBidding.

Went up to $90 in nearby Teaneck areas with no success. Got this on my first try in Rutherford. Attending a wedding in Teaneck, so we mostly need a place to get ready and sleep at night. Not too bad, I guess. I'm not sure how to edit the title, but we're staying 4/21-4/22.

Schedule isn't set yet, but I'm thinking of getting there around early afternoon (driving from Boston). But, we could end up arriving later in the evening.

Just had my price accepted at $90. Not as cheap as some people, but pretty good nonetheless! Thanks to this forum for its help. EDIT: Oh yeah, I did have a question: where's the best place to park if I'm driving to the Hyatt? I heard the hotel garage is a little expensive.
