  1. Been working on this for a couple of weeks. Been looking for a 3.5 and up for my yearly golf trip. Bid history was: 4* in Tempe South @ $71 3.5/4 in Tempe South @ $71 Added Tempe North Added Airport Area Added West Mesa and was accepted. Location looks great. The 101 is right outside, and a quick hit up to the 10 to get to the other side of town. I'm happy.
  2. After a week bidding, I finally secured a rate I'm happy with. Downtown Boston on college move in weekend can be crazy, and overpriced. Bidding was 3.5* $110 in Boston Common-Theatre District, then 3.5* $115 and added Quincy Market-Financial District, then 3.5* $120 and added Copley Square-Back Bay. Final dropped down to 3* at $115 and bid was accepted. Now GO SOX!!!
  3. Sorry for the late post. Booked this on Thursday (4/4). Started at $80, was offered $128 as my 2nd chance offer. Re-bids at $85, $90, and $100. Nice hotel and great location. The room is starting to look a little warn though. I would stay here again. FYI-Weekend parking at IMPARK Oxford Tower Parkade Lot 324 (from www.bestparking.com) was $16/day. It was connected by the PATH walkway system to the Hilton directly, or you could walk outside and cross York Street. The hotel wanted $40/day in their garage.
  4. Sorry for not posting this earlier. Was able to score the Hyatt Regency Downtown on Friday (July 22nd) for $135/night. I'm happy with the price, and used the PRICELINE links here to book it. Anyone stay there recently? It has some really awful reviews recently on google. Priceline has good reviews, trip advisor is 3.5/5. Just wondering on others opinions.
  5. The more I talk to various people, it seems the best time to book labor day in Boston is ASAP. With all of the colleges, that is move in weekend and it can get a little hairy getting a hotel last minute. I plan on booking my room soon, once my GF can confirm she has off from work. Best of luck to you.
  6. Booked the Delta Meadowvale in Mississagua on PL yesterday at $95. Was trying to re-zone a 3.5 in Downtown South and got this. Please update the hotel lists with this info.
  7. Thanks for your help. I tried some rezoning on a 3.5-star, and got stuck in Mississagua (in a hotel listed as 3 in the listings on here). Oh well, $hit happens. Nice thing is I'm only 2 minutes form a train/bus station so I can get down there quickly. I'll post the success so the list of hotels can be updated.
  8. Thank you for your response. I'm not overly concerned with star rating to be honest. Just looking for someplace inexpensive for a night. I know parking can be a PITA up there as well, it would be nice to find something with parking included. But I also understand you can't shop amenities when you use PL or Hotwire. Oh well, back to the grind trying to find something.
  9. Hey folks, Any help would be appreciated. I'm looking for a hotel in DT south Toronto for 1 night only (June 11th). I'm planning on catching a couple Red Sox games on the 11th and 12th and would need a hotel for a night. I tried some bids yesterday (with rezoning) using the above links on PL, but I couldn't get anything accepted for less then $100 on a 4-star. Anyone have a recommendation? I'd like to stay in the area of the Rogers Centre and be able to walk to the game on Sunday. Perhaps I'd be better off staying away from DT and commuting via subway/rail? Would I be better off waiting until Friday to book it? Thank you, great board here, glad I found it. Glen
