The Ramada Plaza is the new name of the former Holiday Inn Select -St. Louis Downtown Convention Center. The hotel remains the same, but they changed the name 2 weeks ago.
Decided to go with Hotwire, 3* for $52/night. 4/20 - 4/22
Ended up with Ramada Plaza Hotel St. Louis

Trying to avoid the Millennium, any idea which hotels these are?
4/20/12 - 4/22/12, 4* Downtown St. Louis, 3 rooms for nights.
Up to $70 now, still with no luck for these dates. Getting all 3 rooms in same hotel is not super important, as long as we're all downtown. Think I would have more luck booking single rooms for those dates? I've tried dropping to 3.5* at 66 and 68 also with no luck.
I am actually considering the Hotwire rate $54 for 3* for those dates, but really don't want to end up in that horrible Millennium Hotel. (That place should be a 2*)
Trying for Downtown St. Louis 4*, from 4/20 - 4/22, for 3 rooms. Started at $42, increased by $1 each day. Up to $52 now, and even tried for 3.5 stars with no success. No Cardinals game that weekend. This 4* has usually gone for 45 or 46 in the past, but denied at $52.
I can book the 3 rooms separate if that would help.

Started at $32, then tried 34, 36, 38, 40, 42. (+ $10 bonus cash)
Started at $38, raised by $1 a day until accepted at $45 for 3.5 stars.
Started at $48 for 4* St. Louis Downtown, added $1 each day until $51, then changed stars to 3.5* St. Louis Downtown and was accepted.
Bonus to the Crown Plaza property is the $3 parking lot (for 24 hours) next door (non game days). Otherwise you're paying $20 to park in the downtown lots for a night.
Bid $58 for 4* downtown St. Louis. Accepted at Hyatt Regency at the Arch
