  1. I believe you may have been shown a new interface that HOTWIRE is testing which (for now) only shows the first 9 amenities, even if the 'See all' link is clicked. To confirm, can you please check the amenities as they appear in the email sent of your confirmation AND as they appear when viewing this purchase thru the MY ACCOUNT link on the top right of the HOTWIRE home page.
I think that would be it. What's showing in my hotwire account now, has 3 extra amenities: wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom and roll-in shower. There is nothing on my confirmation email.
Sorry to hear that you didn't get the Palmer, but the Hyatt is in a terrific location right by the river. Hopefully you'll get a room with a view.

There are a number of breakfast options within decent walking distance, some particularly close. The trio that come to mind would be Wildberry (newer and very popular - http://www.yelp.com/biz/wildberry-cafe-chicago), the Pittsfield Cafe (an old-school Chicago diner in the Pittsfield building - cash only http://www.yelp.com/biz/pittsfield-cafe-chicago) or the Rick Bayless casual offering Xoco (http://www.yelp.com/biz/xoco-chicago), which is somewhat further away in the River North area. Wildberry is the closest of the bunch.

If you are looking for a breakfast treat, more of a trek NW in the River North area is the Doughnut Vault (http://thedoughnutvault.tumblr.com/), but that is cash only and they sell until they run out.

    Enjoy your stay.

Thanks for the tips! Yeah, I'm pretty happy with the Hyatt location. My wife really wanted the Palmer because she loved one of the places we went for breakfast, so your tips are great!
  2. Hi, I'm using hotwire to find a hotel close to Millenium Park. I stayed at the Palmer House Hilton in the past and I'd like to stay there again. But I'd be just as happy with the Hyatt Regency. So, here's what I found. Dates: 6/30-7/2. 2 nights, 2 rooms: 4 adults, 2 kids.

1st hotel Loop - Theater District:

    $93

    Pet Friendly

    Indoor Pool

    Fitness Center

    Pool

    Restaurant

    Business Center

    High-Speed Internet

    Spa

    Accessible for the blind

Is this the Palmer House? It's the only 4* with pool, indoor pool and spa in the list, so I'm hoping this is it.

Downtown Chicago - Millenium Park - Grant Park area:

    $87

    Smoke Free

    Fitness center

    Restaurant

    Business Center

    Laundry Facility

    High Speed internet

    Spa

    Accessible path of travel

    In room accessibility

Is this the Hyatt Regency? There are 2 4* with Spa on the list, Hyatt Regency and Swissotel. I'm hoping it's Hyatt Regency.

    What do you guys think?

  3. I do see a 4* in the Mag Mile/Streeterville zone on HOTWIRE with the amenities fitness/business/restaurant/hi-speed internet for $94. That looks like it could possibly be the Conrad Hilton.

Yeah, I saw that and I went for that.

Unfortunately, it's not the Conrad. Price went down, $89 and I ended up with the Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, which, according to the sticky, it's a Chicago Loop hotel. So, an update might to the sticky might be necessary.

Oh well, I might have to drive instead of walk. We'll see.

    Thanks for the help AaronJB.

  4. Date is on the description, this Sunday 02/25.

I need to go to this address: 401 North Michigan Avenue.

Looking at the map, the Sheraton seems closer. It doesn't seem like a big difference, but I'll be walking with my wife and our 7 month son, so being closer is better than getting a better hotel right now. If end up with the Wyndham, it's not the end of the world, but I'd prefer the Sheraton.

The Inter-Continental also seems very close, but couldn't find an offer that matches the ammenities listed here.

    Thanks for the help.

  5. I'd like some help to identify a 3.5* hotel, Mag Mile-Streeterville.

    Ammenities:

    Fitness, Pool, rest, business, internet

    Customer favorite

Comparing with the list of hotels on the sticky, it matches the Sheraton, except for internet access. But on their web site, it seems they added internet access, so I believe the sticky list is out of date. Can someone confirm?

Another perfect match, according to the sticky, is Wyndham. But going to tripadvisor, it seems that this hotel is now a 4* hotel. Does hotwire get the star rating from tripadvisor?

Anyway, I want to get the sheraton cause I need to go somewhere really close to that hotel, and I'd love to walk, if possible!

Any help? I'll book my room tonight so I'd love an answer before that. But I'll update with my findings either way.

    Thanks!
