I have comtinued to bid off and on using my 6 re-bid zones and milleneun/loop zone up to 145.00 with no luck. Our goal is to go to Braves/Cubs Games on 5/8 and 5/9 with other time sightseeing.Want good area and nice accomadations.Should I look at another area? We want a good experince but that has its limits too. Do you think rooms have been release to Priceline yet or is it too early? Getting a little antsy. Thanks for any updates and ideas.
Steve
So far no luck.Since we still have plenty of time, will continue with the bidding strategy and see what happens. Will update when bid accepted or need new course.
Thanks Stenied
When bidding 4* in Chicago you have SIX re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.
Select 4* NMA...
Bid $95, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $100, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $105, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...
Bid $125
Any questions feel free to ask.
Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
Good luck and let us know how it goes.
Stay with NMA for now and max at 125.
Thanks
Steve
Would go as high as 125 if needed but thought it would be less.
Thanks
Steve
Will be in Chicago 5-7 to 5-11 for Cubs/Braves Games 5-7/5-8/5-9 and would like to stay in 4 star in loop area or river area.No success up to 110 using 6 rebid zones.Which area would be best for transit(no car) to games and safety.Expected to get this not exceeding 100 but maybe I'm wrong.Would appreciate your guidance for bidding as we are looking for nice accomadations(in our 60's)and other than bb games want be out at night and doing the normal tourist things daytime. We are familar with priceline would like a bidding platform for these dates. Thanks in advance.
Really didn't want to split the bids even though that is a good idea.Gave in and bid $140 and got Hawaii Prince. Probably with a little more patience, I may have done a little better but overall I'm satisfied. I used the savingsbarn link to PRICELINE. Thanks for your help as I'm a little more educated to the process.
Thanks for your response.I've seen Hawaii Prince in North fro $109 to $122 in May,June and Sept. Also Marriott in South at $125. Since I'd ventured to $130, I thought I would have gotten one of these. Is August any different? I didn't want to go above $130 for 4* North or South.I've been trying since Feb. with no luck but still have plenty of time.(I think)Would like your valued input.
prefer north or south zone 4 *.i have bid 100 to 130 and used airport and executive center as free rebids but all rejected.do i just keep trying.
4* Chicago (Lake View- Lincoln Park - Wrigleyville) Hotel Lincoln
in Hotwire Hotels - Illinois

After investigating Hotel Lincoln decided it would do, as we plan to use public trans and reviews were good.Booked it at 94.00 through your HOTWIRE link. Appreciate your advice here and will follow up with review. Found that airport shuttle would be 46.00 one way and 36.00 the other.OUCH! Any ideas on cheaper way from Ohare to hotel and return. Thanks again for your help.
