Hello,
I clicked the links above.
Hello,
I'd like some help IDing a hotel on Hotwire.com. Dates: 2/1912 - 2/25/12.
Paris(Opera-grand boulevards)
4*
Amenities: business, Laundry
$159
Thanks for your help!
Decided not to go for it for fear of getting the Sheraton. Thanks for everyone's help!
Priceline car rental thread updated!
I went up to $50 and was not successful. I ended up booking with a third party discounter for a decent rate.
3.5* hotel in Downtown Atlantic City $134/night 11/11-11/12
Amenities: Smoke-Free, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center, Hi-Speed Internet
Because Casino is not listed as an amenity, it leads me to believe it is the Sheraton(which I really don't want).
So I couldn't take the suspense anymore and went ahead and booked. Turns out it is the GH Kauai with a final rate of $223 for 8/31-9/2.
I didn't know you could do that! Yes I now I see, in addition to ones listed above, Golf, Tennis, Spa, and Children's activities. Based on the amenities, my guess is that this is the GH Kauai.
I am looking for 8/31 - 9/2. I used the HOTWIRE link above and searched again, it looks like the rate went down from $224 to $223. :)
So here is the situation: I have enough Hyatt points for 5 nights at the Grand Hyatt Kauai but would like to take a 7 night vacation. So I need to buy 2 nights. On Hotwire there is a 4.5* hotel with the following amenities: Resort, Beach front, Oceanfront, Fitness center, Pools, Restaurants, Business center. My educated guess is that this is the GH Kauai. However, any additional insight would be greatly appreciated!
EDIT: I forgot to mention Laundry and Hi-Speed Internet as amenities as well. However, I don't see Children's Actvities which is making me concerned.
I am looking for a convertible in LIH for 8/26 - 9/2. What is a reasonable fee to include for under 25? I see people have been getting $30-35 for convertible so should I be trying $55 - 60?
I continued bidding and was able to get the Park Plaza Victoria for $140/night. Overall I am happy with this as the recent reviews on TripAdvisor seem pretty good. This hotel was on PL retail site for $192/night. Although the rate doesn't include breakfast, I will take that as an opportunity for us to explore the cafes in Amsterdam :-). Thanks to everyone for their help and insights!
The $155 is for a double room and does in fact include breakfast. The location of the hotel is right around Dam square, which I think is pretty good. So I suppose the $155 isn't a bad deal. I will bid on 4* and 5* on PL up to $155 to see whether I can get anything. I will post the results here.
I believe the rate at the Best Western is refundable. Thanks for the tip. :)
I wasn't planning on spending as much as $155 for a hotel in Amsterdam but if I don't have another choice then that is ok.
Something leads me to believe that there is an event the weekend I am trying to book. A lot of hotels have no availability(even through my corporate travel website), however, I haven't been able to find what it is. If that is the case then IMO I should try to get a hotel now as prices will only go up. The NH Amsterdam Centre has no availability on their website, and that is a hotel that many people have gotten on this forum. What are your thoughts about this?
I found the Best Western Dam Square for $155/night. So I suppose that would be my maximum bid. Do you think it's too early to bid for June dates? Do you think it's a big risk to bid on a 3*? I'm worried I would get a dump if I did that.
I am trying to book a 4* hotel in Amsterdam 6/30/11-7/4/11. I have been trying for several days and my $115 bid got rejected. I want the City Center-Museum Quarter area so only one re-bid zone. Any suggestions??

I do not feel comfortable with the risk associated here. I tried bidding on PRICELINE and went to $160 for Opera West and Opera East for 4* but was rejected.
Currently, I have the Hotel Astra Opera booked for $205 with breakfast included.
