  1. I've stayed here a few times on PL bids and believe it is good for the money but beware..most of the rooms ARE small once you are assigned a room and find it too small you can sometimes get around the size by requesting two beds or if in a smoking room request a non smoking or vice versa. A bit of a gamble but I have done all three and ended up with a nicer room each time. I suppose I could have just asked for a larger room and that may have worked too. :)

  2. Re: Haytt Harborside Boston....

I stayed there on a Priceline bid a few months ago and was upgraded to a harbor/city view room without having to ask. Others I know have been charged quite a lot extra at this hotel. I think it has a lot to do with the individual at the desk and how much authority they have (not to mention how many rooms they have available).

When checking in I would just ask if a nicer room is available and see what happens. I find that a polite request goes a long way. Even on a Priceline room.

BTW...kind of a strange hotel...one upscale resturant, no coffee shop, gift shop is literally a closet. Rooms are fine, view of the harbor and cityscape is spectacular at night.
