  1. Thanks but i was looking at it thru the link, but on the hotwire tab which shows the prices in Canadian Dollars and cant see all those amenities listed.  But following your instructions i see:  free internet, pet friendly, suite, boutique hotel, indoor pool, smoke free rooms, fitness center, pools, restaurant, self service laundry, internet access, kitchenette, spa services, in-room accessibility, wheelchair accessible, accessible bathroom, accessible parking, roll in shower 3.5 star for $115 USD

or there is another 3.5 star showing free internet, fitness center, restaurant, business center, self service laundry, internet access, tennis nearby, accessible for visually impaired, accessible for hearing impaired, accessible path of travel, in room accessible bathroom, accessible parking

Do you know what these would be?  They are both in downtown shopping entertainment district?

There is also a 5 star in downtown shopping district for $135 USD that has indoor pool, fitness center, pools, restaurant, business center, self srvice laundry, internet access, spa services, in room accessibility, wheelchair accessible?

  2. We are looking for a hotel in Vancouver for June 28-July 2. Needing 2 beds as there will be 2 adults and one teen. I'm seeing ones with bed choices, but then states 2 adults only. I'm seeing a 4 star Coal Harbour Area for $132/night. We are wanting downtown or this area, any idea what hotel this would be? Indoor/outdoor pool, fitness centre, free internet, pets allowed, business centre, restaurant. Are we best not to use these options needing 2 beds?

  3. I did end up purchasing it as at that price it was a great deal as I couldn't find a price under $200/night for that hotel anywhere on line so for $105/night I was happy with that as Hyatts are usually pretty decent and the price was comparable to what we were looking at for a Best Western!!

    Ended up costing the following:

    Summary of Charges

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $105.00 (USD)

    Number of Rooms: 1

Number of Guests Per Room: 2

    Number of Nights: 3

    Room Subtotal: $315.00 (USD)

    Taxes and Fees: $62.91 (USD)

Total Charged to Card: $377.91 (USD)

    Thanks for your help.

  4. 2 beds would be preferred but not a deal breaker as I can share with my 18 year old daughter. It shows it as a downtown Vancouver hotel on the express page. It shows pool, pets, dining, business center, fitness center, and bed choice available on the express page. Hope that helps to narrow it down. It also says the $105 price is 45% off and that its a customer favorite and is 9.0 rating.

  5. Looking to book a decent hotel in Vancouver for Oct. 2-5th. Priceline Express has a 4 star for $105 a night that I can select 2 beds for. Would I be better to bid on something in the downtown or Granville area for this price? I have never used bidding for a hotel in Canada only once in Boston so not sure what I could get thus why not going with a 3 star. Was hoping to stay under $150/night as just going for a quick visit. Any tips or advise.

I have checked out the possible hotels shown in the link.

  7. Just wanted to let you know i ended up booking our hotel thru Expedia with our flights as the deal was to good to pass up. We ended up booking the Aria for 6 nights for $145/night including all taxes and fees CDN dollars. Was happy with this deal and hoping to enjoy our trip to Vegas.

    Thanks again

  8. Thank you............I went thru the list and the only areas showing 5* properties are Las Vegas Strip North, Las Vegas Strip Vicinity N Condo, and LV Strip Vicinity South. So if i add one of the other areas while bidding on a 5* there is NO way i would end up staying in another are other than the Strip North if i dont include the condo area or the strip south right?

Do you know what strip south is considered?? My thinking is anything south of the Vdara maybe??? Also wanting to confirm that the Vdara has no casino correct?? What 5* are in strip south??

Thanks so much for all your detailed help : )

Using the links and hoping to find a deal

  9. Yep have read it numerous times and am confused as the only locations i could find to check on priceline for a 5* that did not have a 5* hotel was west of the strip, east of the strip, freemont/downtown, north las vegas, henderson and boulder strip, but above someone is mentioning more zones so not sure if i am checking correctly so not bidding until i have all this confirmed and understand it better.

  10. Thank You!!

So Hotwire is offering a 4* Strip South for $128/night smoke free, fitness, pool, restaurant, spa. (No Casino??) or a 5* Strip North for $154/night with Casino, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby and spa. Any ideas on what these would be??

Would like to try priceline but not sure i am understanding the rebidding with the other areas...........can someone explain it further please as i am terrified to add another area and get a hotel in part of Vegas we dont want to be.

    Thanks

  11. I am now looking to book something as prices seem to be rising since it is Nascar weekend and all. Still confused about hotwire vs priceline. I can get deals on Expedia including flights, but wondering if i can still save money this way. Any suggestions on how to price things out more accurately as Expedia includes the taxes etc in the final price and priceline and hotwire does not...........

Hotwire is giving me a 5* Strip South Area for $128night or 5* Strip North Area for $154night...........

  12. Sorry, thought because i was now asking about hotwire i had to have it in the right forum. I double checked and the only additional amenities listed there besides the ones i stated is spa services.............does that help or narrow it down any further??

  13. Hi everyone............

Still tossing up using Priceline or Hotwire for our Vegas stay in March. We are going March 2-8th and looking for a 5* place. Hotwire has one 95% recommended with Casinio, fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, high speed internet, golf nearby and tennis nearby. It does say there is a resort fee, but not how much..........

Any guesses on what this could be??? Not sure we have a prefereence of hotel at this time just wanting to save some money..........

  14. I am not sure if i am understanding the rebidding section but will read it again and take some notes to help along the way. Also wondering if i am wanting north or south strip??? On hot Wire there is a 5 star south strip hotel and a 5 star north strip hotel for $155 and $152/night................those seem to be the only 5* coming up there so does priceline offer more 5*'s???

  15. I am not sure what the price range is on these sites so dont know what to expect, I do know i can find them on other travel sites for $210 and up...........

Would $150 be to high or to low?? Also when you are bidding that is the price before all the taxes and fees right??? Just want to be sure i am comparing prices correctly...........

  16. Hi all............I have used priceline to bid on hotel stays for just a night in various US cities, but was wondering what the chances are of getting a decent hotel for a 6 night stay in Vegas in March. We are travelling March 2-8 and were looking at Treasure Island, Venetian, Bellagio as possible choices........these were running about $215 and up per night on various websites for that time frame. If i was to choose strip north on priceline what are the other options i could end up with and what would be a reasonable price??

    Any help is greatly appreciated.........

    Thanks
