  1. I fell into this a couple of days ago, very frustrating. Did not notice that North Vicinity was no longer an option. Bidded $150 and got the Trump (bidded up to $165 the night before, so they must have just changed it). Considering it was going for $125 on their regular site, not very happy with my "win". Got them to match the $125, but am a very unhappy customer. Probably just going to avoid bidding from now on.

  2. Great, thanks for the help and yes I always use your links when bidding. I'm planning to stay in Orange County, CA from March 10-17. I would like to stay at 3.5* or above hotels during my stay. I have already tried to book a room for that week but have not had any luck. I tried,

Anaheim South 3.5* - Started at 45 and added 3 per free rebid up to $57

Newport Beach 4.0* - Started at 60 and added 2 per free rebid up to $78

No luck on either. I would like to bid up to $60 for 3.5* and up to $80 for 4.0*. Do you think that is doable for the week or would I have better luck breaking it up into 2 different bids? I'm ok with moving hotels if that will give me a better chance. Thanks.

  3. Just wondering, I am planning to stay for a week and noticed most stays posted are for just a couple of days. Is it better if I break up the bid into 2 separate bids? Will that improve my chances? I'm ok with staying at 2 different hotels. Just wondering if its harder to get hotel rooms via PL if the length of stay is too long.

  4. Can you help me identify which hotels these 2 might be? Both show no Casino, so guessing one of them is the Trump, but not sure what the other one is. Thanks.

  5. I actually booked the same hotel last month, but unfortunately my daughter got sick, so we were not able to make it. I called Priceline and they were able to refund my money minus a $25 service, provided I give them the name and number of my pediatrician. I was expecting to take a lost, so that was pretty cool.

Read a lot of good reviews on this hotel, so really wanted to book it again. Been trying to book for the past 2 weeks with no luck. Started at $80 and used all the free rebid zones (this is the only resort in Lake Tahoe, so got a total of 6 free rebids) to get up to $96. Tried again on different days and went as high as $120 with no luck. Tried again today and was prepared to go up to $120 again. Started at $100 and luckily my first bid got accepted. Guess they must have just released some new inventory today.

Thanks guys for setting up this website. I used the PRICELINE link from your page.

  6. Thanks for the reply Thereuare and great website. I definitely use the links PRICELINE and Hotwire links when booking.

I found a rate of $160 for a 4 star on Travelocity, although most of the prices for the hotels listed as hotels won through PL for downtown Vancouver are going around $220.

I'm hoping to stay under a $100 a night if possible. this is also my first time trying PRICELINE so trying to also use it as a learning experience to see when is usually the best time to bid to get the best rates.

  7. Started bid $60 - rejected

    Started bid $70 - rejected

    Started bid $80 - rejected

    Started bid $90 - rejected

Noticed that a lot of users got rooms here for ~$80 last year around these dates.

Am I bidding too early? Should I just wait and start again in a month and a month after that until I get ~$80? Or is this strategy a waste of time as it will not make a difference?
