1st bid was $60, declined. Added E. Prov as a free zone and bid $72. Win!
Will be looking for Brett Farve and the rest of the Vikings that weekend. Visiting teams usually stay there on game weekends...

Bid $39 for a 3* hotel in Southeast Tulsa/Broken Arrow area. PL offered a free re-bid if I raised my bid $10 (implying that I would "win" at that price). I declined the offer, added Midtown as a free-bid and raised my offer $1.
Win! $40 for a room at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Tulsa South.
There were no reviews of the property anywhere. A check of the website reveals that the hotel is brand spankin' new and doesn't have it's official grand opening until 3 days after I check out.
Will I be a guest guinea pig while they work out the bugs? The rooms are described on it's website as follows:
"Relax in our luxurious room with two queen beds featuring a unique pillow top mattress and plush bedding. Enjoy a 32
Started bidding @ $50.00 for a 4* downtown. Priceline offered "one time only" free bid if I increased my bid $14.00. I declined, added East Providence (no 4*) and bid $57. A winner.

Had a $100 PL promo credit that I had to use by Dec. 30th that capped at $20/night. I was looking for 6 nights at a *3.5 hotel so I had $16.67 credit for each night.
Started with a click on the PRICELINE link and a bid of $26 (+$16.67) for a total per night @ $42.67 for a *3.5 in Southern Hills/South Tulsa. Rejected. Added Midtown free zone and upped my bid $3 (@ $45.67). Accepted by Doubletree Warren Place! BTW, the lowest room price on the DT website for the same dates is $126 a night.
$45 was what I hoped pay and I didn't know if having that $100 credit would affect my final price. It didn't. And for a total out-of-pocket price of $222 I have 6 nights at a *3.5 :)
Old news but here it is!
Doubletree is newly renovated and getting ready to replace their elevators so it should be a Priceline bargain for sometime to come.

Bid $38 for a 3* in OKC/North. Rejected and PL added 3.5*. Bid $43 added Edmond, rejected. Bid $47 added Frontier City, rejected. Bid $50 (my limit) and added Quail Springs. Win! Total price is $64.48 which was under the HOTWIRE total of $66.21 for a 3* in OKC/North.
And just an observation: It seems my Priceline bids that are accepted are almost always bids that end with 0 or 5. Is this common or am I just seeing things?
3* star was the highest class available in ABQ at the time.
Started w/ $35 for 3* DT. Added 2* freebids to amounts of $38, $41 and finally $45.
Won 19th floor, 2 double beds.

My wife's initial foray into the world of Priceline bidding began and ended with a $65 bid for a 3.5* in Downtown L.A. (BTW, that's for 2 rooms @ $65 each.) Her reaction was, "I should have started at $50!" But now she's hooked on PRICELINE and researching for our trip to RI in the fall. Another satisfied customer.
She began the bidding process with a click on the PRICELINE hotel link below...
-Started at $55 for a 4*. PL said the price was too low, raised bid to $58. Rejected. But PL said if I added $12 I could rebid immediately. I rejected offer.
-Added Culver City (no 4* there) and raised bid to $63. Rejected.
-Added Lawndale (highest was a 2*) and raised bid to $69 just below the original PL asking price ($58 + $12). Win!
And it all started with a click on the PRICELINE hotel link below...
Bid $40 on 3.5* in Southern Hills, rejected.
PL offered free rebid for $12 more, I rejected offer, raised bid to $45 and added Sand Springs. Win!
Used PRICELINE hotel link below to start the process...
First bid of $45 was accepted. Should have bid less, darn it!
Hotel website says it's "renovating", ready by summer 07', thus the acceptance of a low-ball offer. I'm gambling that there's no Sunday morning construction noise...
