  1. Hi,

I need to have one night in Boston.

    Start from 3.5* from 60 62 64 66 68 70 but get nothing.

    try 3* from 58 60 62 64 66 and get

    Courtyard By Marriott Boston Downtown/Tremont

    Copley Square - Theatre District

    275 Tremont Street

    Boston, Massachusetts 02116

    617-426-1400

I check the history, maybe 65 could be accepted also

Thanks for linking and information but this place only have 56% recommend in tripadvisor :)

  2. My recent workaround

bid until 127 for 3* in all Manhattan area but fail

try jersey to bid until 127 for 4* but fail again.

I check the priceline directly and as well as the hotel website. The hotel for 139 4* is Westin Jersey City Newport

The directly buying price including tax is 158.35

But if I bid for 127, the price including tax and fee is 155.37.

So do I need to go buying directly without bidding? (It looks like if I bid for 130, it will be more expensive than offical price. Then it doesnt make sense) Or wait another day to bid until 127 to try

  3. Congratulations!!!!

Usually, MTW is expensive than MTE because of great location.

Especially, your hotel has 85% people recommend in tripadvisor.

So I think it's a great deal. You should be happy for that!!!!

For my hotel W, it is just 55% :) since somebody say the room is a little small.

    So enjoy your hotel!!!

  4. How about following?

    170 CPS

    175 MTE

    180 MTW

    185 TS

    190 CPS+MTE

    195 CPS+MTE+MTW

    200 CPS+MTE+MTW+TS

thereuare always has good strategy, maybe you can also wait his strategy

If i were you, i will try 170-200 first, if i fail, then move 180-210, and 190-220 for next run.

I think you can try 4* for one week to see if you really can get something because your budget is 250 per night

As I metion hotwire has following prices.

    MTC 3* 225

    MTE 4* 237

So I will stop if i fail in the run 190-220 for 4* then move to try 3.5*

Just be patient, sometimes it is not related to price. It's good luck. (for example, i try around one and half week to get it)

  5. I try to get the hotel in Manhattan but no luck for more than one week. I found the price also has a big because previously I can see less than 200 for New Year Eve in HOTWIRE. But I lost the chance to book it, and right know I have no idea the price become expensive than I expected. I am not sure if I need to wait for a while to hope the price drop or increase my bidding to get the deals.(I probably would split my day to 12/30 night and 12/31 night since I found the prices are not the same)

If anyone has any suggestion, I will really appreciate.

  6. My future wife and I plan to stay in NYC for New Year. But it seems like the hotel is so expensive.

After doing some studying, today I success and this is my first time to use priceline.

Here are my ways to success

    1) check history price in the forum

    2) check hotwire price to know the bottomline so I see hotwire have 125 for the day 12/28-12/30 in MTE

    3) I divide my trip into separate parts in order to get good deal (for example, 12/30-12/31 is expenesive)

    4) try 12/28 to 12/31 but fail. I stop bidding until the price 125 because I want to try if I can get the fish on for 12/30-12/31

    5) try 12/28-12/30 from 100 (Time square) 105(Time square+MTE) 110 (Time square+MTE+MTW)

    Then I get it

3.5* Roosevelt Hotel in MTE $110

Hope it will help other people who want to try.

    Regards,

    chechein
