  1. Hi,

I am looking for tickets from Houston (IAH) to Edinburgh, UK (EDI) for travel between Dec 27-Jan 14. I am flexible, so I was wondering if you think Priceline could save me some money. Right now tickets are about $900, and the breakdown for a particular KLM flight is $726 for the ticket/fuel, plus the about $180 in other fees.

About how much do you think I could get a ticket for via the Name Your Own Price option? When should I start bidding?

If you don't think that bidding will save me money, when do you think the best time is to book the tickets (retail price)? Since it's still pretty far in advance, I don't know if they are likely to go down or not.

This is really important to me and $900 is out of my price range so any help would be greatly appreciated!

  2. Just an update. Today I tried bidding again for a 3.5* hotel in Downtown Disney area for 12/15-12/20. Went up to $65 ($55 plus $10 bonus cash) and it was rejected. I'm considering going down to a 3* since someone else got it for $42 for december. I just really prefer embassy suites or radisson over the holiday inn sunspree. I'll use the PRICELINE link and post my results here.

  3. I had two accounts which had the $50 bonus cash each, both shall expire by the end of next week, but the link is no longer working even it shows in my account. Anyone can confirm this? Thanks.

    It gave me this info:

The link you used is incomplete, invalid, or expired.

If you copied and pasted a Bonus Cash link from an e-mail message, make sure you include any text that may have wrapped onto a second line. If you typed the link, please double-check your entry. It is also possible that this Bonus Cash offer has expired.

I'm having the exact same problem. My account is showing that I have the cash and it says it doesn't expire for another 6 days but when I click on it to use it the same error message pops up. I emailed them today but I doubt I'll get a response.

  4. Thank you. I'm looking for a 3.5 star hotel in the Downtown Disney area. I was hoping to get one for around $40/night because I noticed that other people successfully bid that amount. $58 was more than I was hoping to spend but my bid still wasn't accepted.

I saw that other people were able to get resorts (hyatt grand cypress) for $62 a night...And other people got 3.5 star hotels for $40-50 a night.
