Just booked the Marriott Downtown Convention Center for $125 / night over halloween weekend.
First bid was $140 for a 4 star which was rejected.
Changed it to 3 stars and added convention center and they accepted and gave me a 3.5. The closest I found for these dates anywhere else at this hotel was $262 / night
Hey All,
i just joined the forum and wanted to throw a previous success in. It was June 11th and 12th, I bid $185 using the resort category in Incline Village. Rooms were going for $380/night. Not sure if I could have gone cheaper, it was the first time I used priceline.
This is a great board, glad I just found it, now planning an all-inclusive to playa del carmen or somewhere in that area of mexico, I guess-I need hotwire for that.

Hey Everyone - I just scored a pretty damn good deal for this two night period. Some large realtor convention combined with gumbo fest, a Saints game, and Veteran's day has the weekend fairly sold out. I still need two rooms for Saturday night but was able to snag Sunday and Monday for $114 / night vs $279 / night on the Marriott website and Orbitz. I tried bidding two nights in a row using the 9 areas in the city for 4* hotels in Downtown, French Quarter, and Warehouse District. I got rejected up to $135 / night so went express. Thanks for this site.
These were the only three amenities listed:
