Dates were 1/27/16 - 1/29/16.  I had a new Kia and not a single issue.

I just rented a car using the HOTWIRE link from BB.  I had been waiting for a decent price for an "at airport" agency.  I was able to get an economy car for $11.99 per day at Hertz.  I am very pleased with the price.  Hopefully, all will go smoothly at the counter.

I'm quite pleased with the location! Looking forward to taking the kiddos to Rockefeller Center and Times Square.

Tried Prilceline for three days. Rebidding adding zones and star levels. Started at 3.5 in downtown at $75. Added star levels and beach zone up to $120. Still no luck. I was hoping for Embassy and was pretty sure it's the only 3.5 in Downtown area. Finally booked this morning when it was on a Hotwire hot Deal before the price jumped up again. I have found the early bird gets the worm. If I wait after 11am EST is goes up to $190. Thank you betterbidding! The maps, lists and forums help tremendously!

I'd appreciate any help identifying this 2.5* hotel. I don't see any matches on the Hotwire list. I thought it might be La Quinta, but hotwire states "beachfront". I'm looking for beachfront and free parking. Any ideas? Thank you! =)

Although I've seen this hotel has been purchased for less, I'm leaving for a trip to NYC in the next 12 hours so I'm pretty happy with the price. Also taking my three kids (one is of adult age) so I need accomodations for four. Looks like it's centrally located and right near Penn Station to boot. Oh, and it has complimentary hot breakfast! For four of us, that will save me a few bucks as well.

Ammenities were the same as on your Hotwire Hotel List which made me feel as confident as you can get,using a blind purchase site, that this was the Wingate Manhattan.

Used PRICELINE link from here. First few bids were rejected over the past couple of weeks. Tried 3* @ $70 today, rejected, then immediately rebid including 2.5* and lowered to $65. Accepted.
