I stayed here April 2010 for the tulip festival. The hotel was booked fully and they put us in a pet room although we didn't have a pet. The room had a funky, damp, mushroomy smell. It was bad enough that it ruined my stay. I asked to be moved but they had no other rooms.
The beds were comfy and the room appeared to be clean. The pool and hot tub are located next door at the health club, which is an inconvenience. The health club closes at 7 on the weekend. The breakfast was enough to fill the stomach and I appreciated how hard the kitchen staff worked.
I wrote an email complaining about the smell and the management is sending me a free voucher for another night and a $50 best western gift card. I got the room on priceline for $69.
First I bid $45 and didn't get it. Since I am leaving tomorrow, I had to bid high enough to get it today. I bid 69 and was accepted. And-I used the link at the top of this page!
