You are currently right in your thinking that the other Seattle region zones do not have 4.5*s or higher, but I hope you know the correct technique for determining free re-bid zones? Things can change and the check needs done before every bidding session.
PS - While Seattle doesn't have Resort level bidding available, a number of other cities do. And when Resorts are present it is even more important to fully understand the technique.
See - this is the confusing part, because if you check the star levels for Downtown - Pike Place Market, it shows that they have stars all the way up 5*. I'm just trying to get a 4* myself, and not having any luck. I'm sure I would if I went to $170, but I'm not that desperate yet. ;) I've stopped at about $98, which has always been good in the past.
That does, thank you! I will try it out.
So, I am looking to book a hotel in Downtown Seattle (Pike Place), and was surprised to see that there are now 4*, 4.5*, and 5* hotels available there. Has anybody gotten anything above a 4*? Does anybody know which hotels are the 4.5 and 5* ones?
I'm looking at booking for the April 27th-28th weekend, and am surprised that I haven't gotten anything yet. Not sure - is there something going on that weekend in Seattle?
Thanks,
Thanks for this great website and the PRICELINE link, I got a room for $72.
Too bad it doesn't have a pool, but we've stayed there before and found it quite nice.
One of the best stays I've had in a hotel was at a Marriott in Colorado Springs, when I was there for a week on business. This was a couple of years ago, before I discovered Priceline. I was there on a reduced room rate, because I was visitting a large local corporation. Even still, the service I got was fabulous and I think I can agree with some of the previous posters that it was mostly due to attitude. I smiled and was friendly with the staff, and made a point of filling out comment cards on the people I interacted with (and let them know that I would). Always positive and always a rave, and the people that worked there really responded. I did get the understanding that there is monetary value in good comments - no one said it outright, but there was some subtext once that gave me that impression. So - it is always worth it to comment positively.
Didn't think I could get a deal this far out, but it looks like I did!
Thanks, I appreciate this board and I always use the PRICELINE link.
Happy with my deal in Downtown Seattle. $76 per night for Westin Seattle.
Used the Priceline link.
$70 for one night at the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Downtown. Regular (on their website) is $229.
Thanks for all the help.
Best price I could - and it was on a 3* instead of a 2* (I was bidding on 2* by the end). It might have been cheaper if I'd stayed downtown.
Thanks to this site for all the info.
