Also from Yale rd. Lexington where I am visiting it shows the first htel distance 1.0-3.7 miles

Second hotel in Harbison shows 7.2-8.7 miles.

Maybe this is the one or Hyatt I saw a only win in Harbison.

I just retturned back from one nite @ Holiday Inn Sunspree resort in LBV . First dont confuse this with the LBV. Street like I did.

This is in LBV. area or city which is not a good location in that close sourranding.Five min drive from there are LBV. Resort area.

I got what I most feared: A VERY DIRTY HOTEL.

One could see the dirt and gather it by hand. Specially the Hallwayes were horribel . I was trying to skip and jump no to step on the the dirt.Rooms with broken or missing things .Hallways were filthy.

I dreaded to even walk.I felt bad I this this to my kids, even though I told them that hotel might not be as clean. I didnt know the scoop of it.

It was dark and we were tired to look around for another place.

Pool was not clean either. And the list goes on.

With all due respect to a very good maneger whom I saw him working hard and running everywhere , I felt bad for him.

I MUST SAY THOUGH : I WOULD NOT STAY THERE EVEN IF SOMEBODY PAID ME TO STAY THERE.

Sheets were clean. Since it was one night we stayed and left as soon as we could. The girl at the desk ignored us left us wating with 2 tired children till the manager came back.

He noticed us when we arrived and he was dissapointed and surprised to find us still waiting. He asked her why she didnt call us yet and called us at once.

She was very unpleasant and unhappy to be there. At my kind request if we could have a renowated room,angerly murmered something.

I wondered why did I even asked her, since it was obious what response one could get from an angry person who just was questioned for ignoring the guest.

The only good thing is : The manager seemed a very good person.Trying to be everywhere and take care of everything.

I DEEPLY BELIEVE NO HOTEL SHOULD OPERATE UNDER THOSE NON HYGENIC CONDITIONS AND SHOULD REALY BE CLOSEDTO THE PUBLIC.

StREET 535 you get into from the hotel was jammed. Trafic was bumper to bumper going towards dawntown Disney where a lot of restourants are. We hardly managed to make a U turn to escape the trafic. We dinned @ Smokey Bones very good food and service. A little pricy though.

3* Holiday Inn Sunspree-LBV,Orlando via PRICELINE. July 16 /10. After failing twice.

I started bid @ $30 adding $2in each rebid .

Started with Celebration ,than adding LBV, S.W. Universal.

At $36 was offered to raise my bid by $10. Decline. Added Kissimee and raised my bid to $40 and won.

I am happy with the location. I hope the room will be good enough too.

Of course I used the PRICELINE link from the board.

Than @ $30 SW+ Universal + LBV.-rejected

Than@ $32 SW. + Universal +LBV.- + Dawntown Orlando- rejected.

I hope I did it the right way this time. Or was there a way to go on bidding more tonight?

It looks that I have to wait 24 hours for my next bid.

If I dont get it tomorow I'll have to go wit HOTWIRE instead.

You can't just change the price and bid again... as indicated in the strategy above, you need to add a re-bid zone, of which you have TWO re-bid zones when bidding 3* in this zone. Please read the Priceline Re-Bidding Explained thread and confirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding again.

So I need to add a rebid zone ? Lets say my next zone is Universal. And do I need to increase the price each time make sense I guess.

And if rejetdet lets say Universal 3* @28 than on rebid I add LBV. 3* @30 if rejected I close the browser to start again. I must have drow you crazy long ago .

It states: "Pl. verify the following info to continue your request. Pl. Change one part of your original request."

What am I missing here. Is there a 'Rebid "link I should click on. Or what are they asking me to do? I even tried to change the price to $30 I got the same statment.

You have to accept that you're making an opaque purchase and there are certain criteria that you will not know until after your purchase. At any star level there may be hotels which are 'good enough' while there are others in the zone that you would be less favorable to receive... you have to choose a minimum star level which you think offers the best chance to meet your needs.

Thanks. Oops !I should have write under "add reply" instead of "New Topic". Lowest price is not my priority but I want to feel safte and secure. We might be arriving late @ night.

Maybe in a 4*I would most likely be safer.

But I wouldn't want to spent more in a 4* for this if I can find a 3* hotel in a good area. I thought customer rewiew could be a good hint for this. In this light which area would be my best bid for a 3*hotel?

Or should I just go for a 4*. I would not realy want to spent $60 if I can find something good enough for $50. I get it that Hotwire has an educated guess. I am curious and I wanted to try priceline just for fun.

Could you help me with a strategy what area should I bid , star level and price. I hope this is not more confusing than the last one.

PRICELINE rejected bid.Started 4* @40 Dawntown Disney increased by $5 as I added LBV, Universal O. Resort area. Up to $55. Not accepted.

Than tried 3.5*@ $37 Added $3-5 as I added the zones. Sea world Intl. Dr., Celebration, Orlando west.Not accepted.

Than tried 3* @$27. adding $3 up to$36 Disney east. Osceala, Kissimme. Rejected.

Any advice different way of approch on biding I will wellcome since I am the begginer and you are the expert.

I tried two ways Orlando: Orlando and LBV. I get the same results in both ceases.

Doubletree Castle hotel I saw on Travelzoo for $49/nite.

I also got in my inbox $59 for LBVfor july 16 Dawntown Disney. When I went to HOTWIRE I didnt see it there. There was a $59 Dawntown D. 3.5* could that be LBV?

Thanks for coming to my rescue. Yes you are right .LBV. 2.5* has bussiness cnter too. Also is 75% rec c. rew. not 80 %. I would take one that is cleaner regardless of * or rate or location since is only one night.

I saw one with brakfeast sign 3* $35 in celebration is not appearing the brakfeast icon any more. I wonder if that is still the same. I am so happy you helped me out I can finally move on. My last question is if this two hotel are not appealing to me what are my chances of going w/priceline. I saw in the calendar of wins Radison for $29-32 range. I would be wery happy with Radison. I went before and is very clean.

I purchased Buena Vista Palace on HOTWIRE 3/30-4/1 /10. $83/night. I did post than when I booked it. So I closed up my thread.I saw it posted than. Forgive that I do not know haw to follow up. hI Thereuarie. I am drita8. I booked on hotwire LBV Palace 4* I am trying to be helpful and let you know that when I booked it shows "Spa" as amnimitie. Which it doesnt show in this cease. Resort fee is $15. I hope this helps. I am just a starter and you are the expert. You could still be right.

I got an offer 4.5* $194. when I try to see the hotel. That particular offer and hotel does not come up. I only get a list of other hotel choices. Why cant I get that specific hotel offer? Are there particular travel dates that I need to put for that offer?

It sounds as if you may be in linear or outline view... on the top right corner of the board, under OPTIONS make sure you select DISPLAY MODE as 'standard' as it will then be easier to see your thread in it entirety.

We booked Hilton in WDW. Is in the same aerea with LBV Palace that I got so we could be in close distance w/ family. My brother was offered some credit from previous stays with points from Amerian

Express card.

We had to book directly w/hotel to redeem the points. I wished I booked through your links as you well deserve to get credit for you exellent dedication in helping me with my many questions.
