  1. After much research I was able to get into the Garden District area under my AARP rate

and found rates at $74 a night and $17 for parking. I also get the third night free.

I am a Rewards member of Choice Hotels.

Decided to stay the extra night since I will will pick up 8500 pts. Usually good for a nights stay.

Everything I found Downtown had about a $32 parking fee.

Thank you for answering me so quickly.

  2. Welcome to BetterBidding!

You won't be able to guarantee a hotel with an elevator with PRICELINE. As well, your hotel can be anywhere within the shaded boundaries of the zone... is there any zone where any location within it will have you close enough to Jackson Square?

If not guaranteeing an elevevator is not a deal breaker and you wish to bid on PRICELINE, what is star rating and zone(s) are you seeking and what is your maximum bid?

If you can't accept the above, HOTWIRE may be an option as you can often take an educated guess as to the htoel you may received based upon the amenities shown before your purchase. Then you can look at the hotel(s) believed to be offered and determine if they are close enough to Jackson Square and/or if they have an elevator. However, still no guarantee that you'll guess the hotel correctly, so still a bit of a risk.

Let us know how you'd like to proceed and we'll advise accordingly.

Please use these PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links to begin your travel purchases.

The elevator is not a deal breaker and I assume any hotel in the Jackson Square area would have elevators. One of the reviews of the hotel I booked was a complaint about it not having an elevator and having to lug luggage up narrow stairways. Which would be a difficulty for us.

I used Priceline before and we were just days from our destination. I hate to make my reservation too early since I am concerned about cancellation. I assume there is a NO refund allowed on this type of bidding. Am I correct?

  3. I am looking to book two nights in NOLA Nov 18 checking out the 20th.

I have already booked a Boutique Hotel and after reading the Reviews I will have to cancel

So what I am looking for that the other doesn't offer is an elevator and close proximity to Jackson Square area.

I want to do this right in order for the site to get credit for my booking. Can you help me?

I have used PRICELINE before prior to finding Better Bidding. It was a wonderful experience where the Hotel by far

excelled what I could have expected for the price.

Hopefully I am in the right site to ask this question???

    Terry
