Thanks for the feedback. After several unsuccessful bidding attempts on Priceline, I decided to book directly with a rental company. Renting a car a few miles from lax & returning it to the airport for a huge overall savings. Thanks again for the help!

I'm looking to book a rental car at lax in March. I want the cheapest possible car but also want a reputable company. I found an economy advertised for $21/day when I used the better bidding link to HOTWIRE. It also says counter in airport, shuttle to car. So I guess my question is...will I be guaranteed this price even if an economy car isn't available? And do you know the company by chance? Would I be better off naming my own price on Priceline?

Actually, not a very large percentage of people recommend this hotel so I'm going to keep looking. I wasn't sure how to delete the post. Thanks.

Trying to figure out what hotel this might be...3.5 stars, Venice-Marina Del Ray-Playa Del Rey, March 26-31, $89/night found on Hotwire using bidding helper. The amenities listed are Free Internet, Boutique hotel, Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby, Accessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking.

The only 3.5 star hotel in lists I see is Hotel Erwin, but that is awfully cheap for that location. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for your help!! I was able to get this express deal this afternoon & it was in fact the Sirata Beach Resort. I'm very happy with this hotel as we stayed there a few years ago & had a great time. And the price is great for being directly on the beach.

I used the PRICELINE link from this site to book. I also used the current 10% off coupon that saved me an additional $32! Again, thanks for your help. It is much appreciated.  :D

I'm looking at staying 3 nights from June 18-21 in this area. It looks like from the hotel lists here on better bidding it is the Sirata Beach Resort. The amenities are pool, pets welcome, & restaurant. The rate is $107/night. Is it safe to say that would probably be it? Also, do the prices on the express deals go down the closer it gets to the booking? I would be willing to wait a little longer if so. If I decide to book, i will definitely use your links to do so. Thanks!
