Bid $70 and immediately got counteroffer of increasing bid by $15 on Munich 5-star properties in all areas. Increased bidding by $1 per day until $74 was accepted. Had another bid of $74 accepted for Amsterdam the same day. I think it has to day with the exchange rate dollar versus euro. Room Subtotal: $148.00 (USD) Taxes and Fees: $26.14 (USD) Total Room Cost: $174.14 (USD)
Started bidding $65 using both City Center South and City Center-Museum Quarter. Went up a dollar a day until $74 was accepted. Hotel cost: $148 Taxes: $26 Total: $174
Started bidding $100 and was met with rebid offer of $20 more. Rebid $1 more every day until acceptance of $119. Rebidding $120 immediately would have saved a lot of grief. Hotel $119 tax $21.22 Total $140.22
First bid of $60 was met with rebid offer of $85, rebid $65 the next day and received same counteroffer, rebid $69 on third day and was accepted. Hotel $69 Tax $16.96 Total $85.96
Bid up $5 per day from $100. Hotel's website lists the room for $300+. Couldn't get anything less the $120 accepted in NYC for these dates at even 3* level.
Started bidding $100 and went up $1 per day. You can bid twice a day for Rio becuase there are no 3.5* properties on Priceline, so you place a bid on a 4* and 3.5* which is just like bidding on a 4*. I found a better deal on this same hotel through octopus travel, but you never know what hotel you get when you bid. Received the message that I could rebid right now if I was willing to increase my bid by $22 starting with the initial bid.
