I'm still in the midst of bidding. I will keep you posted.
'just to confirm that I'm not misunderstanding--If you want a 4* or better in Chicago NMA/River North you get 5 bid+rebid chances per day. If you want a 3.5* or better in Chicago NMA/River North you get 4 bid+rebid chances per day. Correct?
What is the optimum incremental increase amount? Is it always $1? Is anything less than $5 usually a waste of bid?
Thanks.
I'm not a frequent PRICELINE bidder, so forgive me if you've seen this. Today I was re-bidding in Chicago and I was offered the opportunity to re-bid everything the same -- just $15 higher. There was an option to go back and change my bidding criteria, which I elected.
No matter what, you should ALWAYS first make a reservation at a hotel that is FULLY refundable.
You mean before you start the PL process? Is this true once you have a reservation through a successful PL bid?
I started with just "Chicago NMA" at $75 for 1 room 6/5-7/09.
I added $5 each when adding locations Lincoln Park and then Midway. I was successful for $85 at Westin Michigan Ave. Total price $170 plus $34.80 taxes for $204.80.
'hope this helps.
