Rejected at $35 for 3* in Greensboro (West).

Was offered rebid at $45 and turned it down.

Added 3* High Point area and rebid at $40, and that was a winner.

Really happy with this one. Hyatt Place gets great reviews, and the only other two hotels that appeared to be possibilities were the Courtyard in Greensboro (West) and the Best Western (formerly Radisson) in High Point, which both also would have been fine.

Went all the way up to $59 in the 3.5* Nashville category yesterday and didn't get a hit. Started at $57 today and got this on my first bid. I sure hope I can get a "companion fish" at check-in, even though I Pricelined the room!

2.5 stars is the best available in Bartlesville on PRICELINE, and though some of the other hotels in this range are newer (a lot newer, in fact), the La Quinta has a 91% approval rating on TripAdviser. This rate is about a third off the best AAA rate I could find, so I'm happy with the deal.

Worked my way up from the mid-40s by adding areas around Tulsa that don't have 3* options. Saw a Hotwire hotel offered at $66, so I figured I'd end up in the mid-50s on Priceline. Wasn't sure which hotel I'd get downtown, but all of the properties at 3* and 3.5* have good reviews.

A couple of things worth noting: This is a shorter amenity list than has been seen for this particular hotel before. Also, the Hotwire listing said 95 percent approval rate and 4.5 ratings out of 5 across the board with more than 30 ratings. This would have been more in line with the TripAdvisor ratings for the Hampton Inn Central, which is a top 5 Williamsburg hotel on the TA listings but isn't among the hotels on the Better Bidding list. The Holiday Inn Express is further down TA's rankings (No. 23, maybe), and has a 79 percent approval rate and 4-out-of-5 ratings on TA.

That said, still a pretty good hotel and a pretty good deal. Normally a hotel room of this caliber in Williamsburg would run at least $100, probably closer to $120 -- the Williamsburg hotel market seems to be holding up better than most -- so I may have saved myself $100 over 3 nights.

It's also identical to the SpringHill Suites Orlando Convention Center except it's missing the suite icon.

Doesn't seem to match anything exactly that's already been posted, but the smoke-free rooms and the complimentary breakfast will rule some places out.

Nice job. I've read good reviews for that place, and that's a killer price.

Ocala has five bidding areas, but only one of them has any 3* hotels. All of the 3* listed on the BetterBidding Priceline list seemed acceptable to me. I bid 41/43/45/47/49 yesterday, with no takers. Waited 24 hours and got a hit at 51, my first bid.

Those amenities match up with the Rosen Shingle Creek as reported on Better Bidding's Hotwire list for Florida.

That matches the amenities listed for the Monumental Hotel Orlando on the Better Bidding hotel list. It's a former Crowne Plaza that still gets good reviews on TripAdvisor. If that's the right hotel, the HOTWIRE price would be about 20% off the rack rate.

Hotel site is listing these dates as $79 for advance purchase, $89 AAA rate.

Was a little disappointed when I saw the name; I was hoping for the Homewood Suites nearby, which lists the same amenities in the master list on this site and has sold for a similar rate on HOTWIRE previously. But the Trip Advisor reviews for this hotel are very good, giving it high marks for cleanliness and location, and it's ranked #42 among Orlando hotels -- not bad for $47 a night.
