  1. I am loooking at a hotel in San Francisco on Nov 5-9th. we need to stay downtown as I do not want to rent a car. I will be taking my daughter to celebrate her 13th birthday. Any suggestions will be helpful.

I have seen the following USE at $112 per night- 4*

B, Non Smoking, Fitness, Restaurant, High Speed Internet, Business Center

    4* USW

    F,R,HS, Business

Any ideas what hotel they may be?

    Thank you in advance

  2. Back from long trip and would like to report a Priceline win: On August 1, 2009

Bid $45 for downtown Denver 4* hotel. Bid was accepted on the first try & I received the downtown Sheraton. Great rate for a downtown hotel. I was very disappointed that the only parking was valet and they chatged $26 per night.... other than that it was a nice place to stay in an excellent location.

  3. First Bid for $47 was accepted for the Fort Collins 3.5* Hilton. I have seen per this board lower offers of 35 accepted, however I needed the room tonight & was afraid to be rejected for a few dollars to little.

Used the PRICELINE link to book my room.

Can't thank you enough for this service. I never would have thought I could receive a room for so little.

  4. I received the Crowne Plaza in Billings, MT for $62 on July 17, 2009 for one night, first bid was accepted. It looks like the Crowne Plaza is up on Hotwire for 61 dollars...not sure if I received a good deal or not, I think I should have started lower but I was nervous as there is a huge state wide event in Billings this weekend.

I booked using your PRICELINE link and Thank You for all your wonderful advice in the past. I will use this site to book our Colorado Springs hotel in a couple of days.

  5. I originally bid 45 dollars for a 3* - rejected

    added 2.5* for $45 - rejected

    $49 for 3 star - rejected

    $54 for 3 star - rejected

$54 for 2.5 star- accepted @ the Holiday Inn Grand-Montana

I have stayed here before and it is fine, I was hoping for the LaQuinta as a 2.5 star as it has a wonderful breakfast.

Thank you for this board and I did remember to use your PRICELINE link!

  6. I stayed at this property from April 5-9, 2009 and all I can say is it is amazing. I originally was put in the Venetian Tower & the room was very nice with modern furnishings. Especially loved the television in the bathroom. I did however as for an upgrade to the Venzia tower and was given a lovely room in this new tower for no additional fee.

This room was much closer to the garden pool and had it's own check in lobby. I loved how this tower did not require you to walk through the casino as I had my 2 children with me.

The room were very large with a king bed and sofabed. There was a seperate sitting area with a view of the garden pools.

Every request I made was promptly honored, newspaper delivered to my room at 7am each day, extra bath products and the nightly turn down service was great as were the chocolates left on our pillows.

Pools were wonderful and we were given a cabana to use for free as they had no more pool lounges available. What a treat.

I can not say anything bad about the hotel definately 5 star treatment and for only 95 dollars a night were were most pleased withour stay.

  7. Sorry for the late followup. I ended up stayin at the Venetian:

    4/5-4/9/09

    Casino

    Fitness center

    Pool

    Restaurants

    Hi-Speed Internet

    Golf Nearby

    Tennis

    Spa

I would have never found this amazing deal if it were not from this web site. Many Thanks!

I also posted a review of this hotel.

  9. I bid on a 3* in Flagstaff three times & was rejected at 35 & 40 & 45 dollars. I finally lowered to a 2* and increased my bid to 46 dollars and received the Econo Lodge a 2 *. I wanted to confirm a non-smoking room and was told none were avaiable. I called Priceline and after 48 minutes on hold I was finally allowed to speak to a supervisor. She called the hotel & they again confirmed there were no non-smoking rooms available. I politely but firmly stated that my daughter had a medical disability (asthma) & was not able to be around smoking. I continued to stress this was a medical disability and needed a refund to get another hotel. They offered to give me a refund for all but 25 dollars each night, and she then gave me a fax number to request a full refund. I got a note from her doctor and hope to get a full refund.

I was a bit nervous to book with either Hotwire or Priceline so I booked this trip direct with the Drury Inn and Suites and was very pleased with the hotel. (see review) Next time I need to be sure the hotel is non-smoking before I proceed with bidding.

  10. After waiting to long to find a 3-4 star hotel on Hotwire I was desperate to find a hotel on Feb 14-16. Flagstaff was very busy over the 3 day weekend and the arrival of new snow. My daughter recommended this hotel as it was new on the NAU campus. I received the first night at a rate of 119.00. Arrived at 8pm to find the lobby packed with people watching the NBA All Star Game. The front desk staff were very friendly and effecient. My request for a room on a upper level floor was quickly honored even though the hotel was sold out. The room were very nice and the beds were comfortable- nice flat screen tv to watch, and plenty of light. The bathroom was large with granite counters, nice glass water glasses, ceramic coffee cups and an interesting toilet. I was amused by the sign on the toilet that said "Reclaimed water- do not drink"-

The complimentary breakfast included scrambled eggs, with ham and cheese, french toast, pastries, sausage, cereal yogurt, milk, coffee, juice and a waffle bar. Plently of space to sit.

In the evenings they ave a managers reception- popcorn, chips & salsa, fresh vegetables & dips, pretzels and each person in the room gets 3 drinks- wine, beer, mixed drink or a margarita. They have a soda machine available for free soda & popcorn until 10:00 pm

I saw the pool & spa along with the laundry & fitness rooms and they looked great- we did not have time to use them.

Included in the room is also a 1 hour free long distance call each day of your stay, including to Mexico & Canada.

With free business center - 3 computers- this is a great hotel especially for families. even more thrilled when I received an email after booking 1 night with an offer to stay one more day at the rate of 45 dollars.
