Looking for ideas on who this may be. I am thinking Aria.
Thanks for posting that Easy Click Travel web site for the fabulous rates on the Encore and Wynn. I will use that instead of HOTWIRE. A definite booking at the Encore is better than just a chance.
I am merely pointing out to the original poster and to you (or whoever tries to guess the hotel) that there is a $20 a day resort fee for this particular property as stated in the fine print on the expanded amenities page.
I used the betterbidding.com link for booking on HOTWIRE. These amenities are not yet on the forum hotel list.Palazzo Hotel

I am pulling up the same property (same exact description) for 12/22 to 12/26. Also interesting on the review hotel details is a $20 a day resort fee.
In the past, I (we) could pretty much identify which hotel was offered via the stars trip advisor listed plus the number or reviews.
Last night I put in a couple of dates for a 5 star, and Encore/Wynn (I believe) showed up because there was an icon for golf. But there was no trip advisor information at all.
I just tried it again with a different date for a 5 star, and, again, no trip advisor info was listed. (No golf icon this time.)
So my question is: Has HOTWIRE changed the trip advisor information (not providing it)?
I would love to see them get stuck with all the empty rooms :)
Are you thinking about switching back? (I hope not).
Thank is really funny :)
They haven't released the rooms yet, apparently, because they still show no rooms. I wonder if they will try to get back any of the reservations of the common people they (or Hotwire) gave the boot to.
I got the same rate but for different dates. I, too, went and checked again for my particular dates and see that it has now gone up to the same amount you posted. I am wondering if they are putting people at Encore as happened with another poster who recently won the Wynn but got told it is in the Encore. Keep us posted if you get ousted to Trump or another hotel on that $109 win. Thanks!
Could you please let us know if you get bumped?
I did what kparks suggested here and have called Wynn and got THEIR confirmation # for my Hotwire reservation on 4/13-4/21, just-in-case. I also requested 2 Queen beds and a no-smoking room, reserved but not guaranteed of course.
You got a good person at the reservation desk. When I called a few weeks ago to reserve a non-smoking room, I was told I could not. I am going to call them again and see if I can get a confirmation number. I'm staying right around the same time--4/14 to 4/20.
...With a refund from Hotwire I just booked the TheHotel at Mandalay Bay for $170 a night for the same three nights. Not as good a deal as I had at the Wynn but I can't really complain.
I'd like to ask: Did Hotwire credit your credit card? Did you book TheHotel throuogh Hotwire or on your own for that rate? Thanks! (just in case I get bumped in April).
I have the Wynn with Hotwire 24th Feb for 6 nights (over Nascar weekend). Hotwire are not selling it now for my dates. Do you all think it's a glitch over Valentines only, or a deliberate bait and switch policy from Wynn. Has this happened before? Does it happen regularly?
Could you give us an update after your trip if you actually got to stay at the Wynn or were moved? Hopefully Better Bidding will allow this post. Thank you.
FWIW: I just called the Wynn today for my reservation (late-April) and asked for two beds. Got it with no problem. Didn't ask about the smoking thing ... guess I'll try that next.Anyway, might be worth calling again ... and again ... and again until you get the answer you want :)
You booked via HOTWIRE?
If you do try calling for a nonsmoking room, could you let us know your success? Thanks
I just confirmed this on the phone with the Wynn reservation desk.
A $150 a day deposit is required on check-in which is refundable if you don't incur any charges. So $900 deposit for a 6 night stay (which is around $700). :)
That is correct: $150 a day!!!
Thanks to betterbidding, I got a room at the Wynn 4/14-4/20 for $109/night.
A question for those who have won the Wynn and have already made your trip: if you wanted a nonsmoking room, did they make you take a smoking room? I called the Wynn after I won and requested a nonsmoking room. They checked my reservation and said "you made this through Hotwire?" I said "yes." "You can't make that request." I would really hate to end up 6 days in a smoker's room.
