Came out just as expected.
Amenities:
Combined with a Tripadvisor rating of 4.5 and 2000+ reviews I was expecting this hotel and am satisfied with the result.
Amenities: Pets Allowed, Business Center, Restaurant, Free Internet, Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Fitness Center
Price was fine and looked like the Westin so I did not go for bidding.
Amenities: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Pets Allowed, Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center
Did not go for bidding as I was satisfied with the price, guaranteed amenities and a guest rating of 8+.
Total price incl. taxes came to 616.61 DKK
Came across a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal that matched the Renaissance Paris Vendome for $158.
Started bidding and ended up being rejected at 150$, but my bid for 151$ was accepted.
Started at 48$ and incremented 1$ over a couple of days until getting accepted at 54$.
Was $126/night actually accepted for December this year? I was looking around those dates too.
Yes - see this priceline Madrid posting.
Used the PRICELINE link and got accepted at 126$ after using about a week to slowly increase to this price level.
Very satisfied with what I got.
For your information I have been looking to get this hotel (Westin) during Christmas and just got my priceline bid accepted.
126$ for the 22nd - 28th of December.
I have been countered with 25$ when bidding 110$ and did not get accepted on 124$. Since you have a lot of days before going, you can of course play around a bit, but given my bids I think 126$ is the minimum price you should expect to get it for.
Obviously there is also a chance you will get some other 5* property, should you choose to go for this bid directly.
Bid $60 on 5* Cologne, added Airport zone and bid $62.
Changed to 4* Cologne zone only and got it $64.
If you feel worried so contact the hotel and get the stay confirmed.
They have my money and I have my hotel room. If they feel that is not the case then they have 3 months to figure that out.
Should they be up for a good argument in the hotel lobby about it, I will be looking forward to that.
Expect problems when you arrive there. They will probably try to tell you there was an error when entering the prices into priceline or something like that.
Thanks for the tip. I will be looking forward to a nice little argument if they do not honor this deal.
Any idea what the priceline policy is on this?
Needed a place to stay for watching the finish of Le Tour de France in Paris and started out early. Was really surprised to get anything at this low price.
Reviews on tripadvisor seem a bit mixed, but I am not the one to complain given the price.
Tried 3/31/10 - 4/4/10 for $62 and got rejected.
Tried 4/1/10 - 4/3/10 for $64 and got rejected.
Accepted on 4/1/10 - 4/4/10 for $66
I was expecting this hotel based on earlier bids and suits me fine since I will be going by car.
Based on earlier bids first tried 7/1/10-7/5/10 for $70 and got rejected.
Tried 7/1/10-7/6/10 for $73 and got rejected.
Tried 7/2/10-7/5/10 for $74 and got the deal. Extended it to include 7/1/10.
89$
Had been incrementing in 2$ steps a couple of days and got it for what I think is the lowest price possible.
Got it in first try at $97
Used PRICELINE link and got it for $89
Checked out Hotwire and saw they had an offer at 204$
Went to priceline and bid 160$. Accepted
First Bid MTW & Brooklyn = 135$
Added another zone (forgot which one) = 140$ = accepted
Back on the 19th of September I got the Westin for $199 a night.
I did not use the links from this forum as I had not come across it at that time. But thought I would share anyway.

I actually started out with the 4* Acta Atrium Palace for $119, which incorrectly had Spa services listed in the amenities. I called hotwire and was amazed by the service as they offered to instead put me in a 5* with Spa services and pay the difference.
