It was listed as "Verizon Center - Penn Quarter" and not "Capitol Hill - National Mall". 

I did end up booking and it was the Washington Court Hotel.  I am quite pleased.  It will be very convenient to get to Union Station for our train home on Monday afternoon. 

There are more amenities.  Here they are:

I'm hoping to be near to Union Station, so the Washington Court Hotel would be great!  Any insights on that hotel or that neighborhood?

$52 offer accepted on the first try. I was hoping for the Hilton Monona Terrace like others got so I could just walk to downtown and State Street from the hotel. Now we'll have to drive up there. The Sheraton isn't really in downtown Madison. But it is still a great price!

I actually did do a re-bid at $60 by adding the Loop zone. But that bid was rejected as well.

Since I had plenty of time to wait for 24 hours, I figured that was the easiest and least-risky way to go, rather than add other zones.

First bid $60 in NMA and then waited 24 hours to successfully bid $65. Both bids were for a 3*.
