  1. I have stayed at both the Radisson and the Holiday Inn. I have always had a car when we stayed there, but I have also done quite a bit of walking around the area. Early May in Portland has some probability of producing some damp (drizzle) weather, but other than that, I do not see much danger in walking between the properties.

I much prefer the rooms in the Radisson to the ones in the Holiday Inn. If you wish to go to downtown Portland, both properties offer a free shuttle to the airport, and from there you can board a MAX train. I mention this because there are not a lot of dining options at either property, and downtown Portland offers a treasure chest of dining opportunities.

  2. Can you please add the amenities shown before your... you can still view this information by going to HOTWIRE and clicking the MY ACCOUNT link near the top right of their home page.

Amenities include fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, and high-speed internet access

During our stay the hotel was very clean and quiet. We didn't have a car with us (we used TriMet to get around), but if you do, the parking fee is pretty steep (I think I saw that it is $18 per night). We did not take our laptop, but they also have a charge for internet connection. You can use their PC's in the lobby to print boarding passes for no charge, however. So for our needs, this hotel was a bargain.

  3. This is NOT a bargain. I could have booked a room for $250 on the hotel's website, and it would have been a bit cheaper than HOTWIRE when the taxes are added. I looked at the NY hotel list on this board and being new to this board didn't realize that I probably could have figured out that I was getting the Washington-Jefferson and not the Hilton Garden Inn from the TripAdvisor rating. Oh well, live and learn.
