  1. you may be right! i blew up priceline's map and it seems to overlay a very narrow area where trump is located. also, only 5 and 4 stars are available here. too bad as i would have aggressively bid for 3 rooms in june for ventian/palazzo had i known instead of booking a discounted car/room package at the aria. at least i got 6 'free' tix to cirque shows! someone needs to be a guinea pig and try to book 1 of these zones. if true i bet priceline and or ventian saw the huge dropoff in these bookings when trump showed up and i guess that is why this 'new' zone showed up.

  2. your maximum bid must be equal to or more than the Priceline minimum "offer" for each day. This is why splitting you bid may work in your favor, but you could end up changing hotels. Weekend rates in Vegas are often double the weekday rate.

i disagree with your comment. please see my 2 wins for 5* 5/10-5/12 and 5/10-5/13. you will see that the number of weekdays/weekend days made a difference in what was accepted.

  3. you should listen to thereuare! start bidding @135 and go up 1 by 1. you should get a 'win' by 160. the coupons are likely worthless or could be obtained by anyone and the gaming credits are probably the same you would get by signing up for the player's card which you can do on line. you should be bidding DAILY as your time is short!!

  4. i bet your 'win' is within a few $$ of your highest bid of 138, possibly even 139. try again tonight starting from 130 and using rebids and combos upping by 1 each time. you should be rewarded. these bids are for king beds but, if you ask nicely and they aren't sold out they will likely give you 2 queens (albeit without a good view).

  5. not much you can do . westin has been listed in the hotel list for some time now and has been recently reported as a win fairly regularly. i also wanted PH for my son's 21st bday this may. unfortunately the 45-60 deals there seem to have vanished. rather than risk a hotel i didn't really want we decided to bid 5* and get either Palazzo or Venetian. you still have a good place at a great price and i am sure that your child will still be happy! it's not that much of a walk to most of the mid/south strip areas.

  6. i believe only strip north/strip south have 5*. all the rest are free rebids. keep it simple! make each bid a brand new bid instead of adding zones. i numbered the zones 1 thru 9 and since 1 is greyed out you have 8 possible zones with zone 5,6 the only 5*.if you only want ventian/palazzo don't use zone 6(south strip). bid 5, then new bid 5+2, new bid 5+3, new bid 5+4,etc thru 5+9. then bid 5+2+3, 5+2+4,etc. once the 3 combos are exhausted go to 4 combos. you will either get bid accepted or reach your limit before you run out of bidding chances!

  7. your time is short however, a counter of $177 there are rooms available at prices prob not far from where you bid. i am going in may (10-13) and for my time they accepted what amounted to $140 for weekday night(sun, mon) and $158 for sat night. although i arrived at these using a mathematical equation the actual $$ could be off by 1 or 2. i would suggest bidding up to 160-165 in very small increments using the many free rebids for these zones. if you need to know how to do this please ask.
