Hotel Indigo is VERY pet-friendly. Let them know you are bringing your dog and they will provide a doggy bed and biscuits. They even hold a Canine Happy Hour on some evenings.
Great minds.
I was just looking for this exact question/answer myself.
Here's what I am doing:
Looking at date-specific available 4* hotels in Atlanta on Priceline.
Taking those results, I'll visit the actual hotel website to determine their pet-policy. For example, the 4* W in Atlanta is listed as available and pet-friendly so that's a match.
Once I find a match, I'll look through the Priceline board here to determine how people bid to receive the W in Atlanta and then, I'll take the chance and place the bid according to the way the winners' bid.
It's going to be a risk, but if you are up for it (and I am) it may pay off quite well.
Thank you so much for your help.
Via your link to HOTWIRE I made the following purchase:
4* - San Juan, PR - InterContinental
$124 - 1 night, 2 people
Thank you again for having such patience.
I am using your HOTWIRE link for research and for purchasing. Additionally, I'm still working on my "Want Intercontenal" thread on your Priceline forum, but this property (listed as a CONDO) keeps coming up when I check on Hotwire. Do you have any idea which property this is; I've listed ALL of the amenities below:

The price is now $139.00
and I noticed this at the bottom, right-hand-side of the page:
"This hotel typically charges all guests a resort fee regardless of how the room is booked. The hotel collects this fee of about $14 per room per night directly from you, so it won't show in your Hotwire
Are those the full list of amenities HOTWIRE is associating with the 4* currently offered?
Yes. I copied it from the webpage.
I don't have a maximum budget. I was hoping to get the Intercontinental for as little as possible. For a Saturday night, I'm expecting to pay less than $130.00.
I'm on Hotwire via your link HOTWIRE and they are offering this hotel for $119.00
San Juan area 4*

Casino -Property offers a full-service casino accessible from the lobby.

Does that sound like the IC to you? Also, do you know how much the IC charges for their "resort fee" - sounds as if it could get expensive.
Additionally, we mainly want beachfront as we will be staying at the Sheraton in OSJ for our after-cruise evening. Would you suggest a different procedure for securing a comfortable beachfront hotel in the SJ area?
I'll update the other thread now.
I always use your links when searching/purchasing: PRICELINE and/or HOTWIRE
Thank you for reminding me about the Las Vegas car rental thread. I posted my final result there.
We wish to stay for one night, Saturday, April 25, 2009. We will be leaving on a cruise the next day. Thank you for any advice and I will, as always, use your links for PRICELINE and/or HOTWIRE when purchasing.
Ended up going through PRICELINE and paid $11.95 per day. Thanks again for all of the assistance.
Greg:
This is the hotel we REALLY want to stay at in San Juan. Will you please tell me which area you bid in for the Intercontinental:
1 Cabo Rojo – detail map Best deal
2 Dorado – detail map Best deal
3 Mayaguez - Isabela – detail map Best deal
4 Ponce - Guanica – detail map Best deal
5 Rio Grande - Humacao – detail map Best deal
6 San Juan – detail map Best deal
We really want to stay at the Intercontinental in/near San Juan and I'm wondering in which area the Intercontinental is located:
1 Cabo Rojo
The Sheraton Old San Juan
100 Brumbaugh Street
$20.95 per day.
I've looked at Hotwire and I can't figure out how to bid on vehicles. I only see the list they generate for you...
Never bid before & need some advice, please.
I'm trying to rent a vehicle in Las Vegas for 2/14 - 2/19 - that's five days.
I've scoured all of the websites and the lowest published price I've seen is $17.00 p/day for an intermediate.
Would bidding $10.00 p/day for a compact, picked-up from and returned to Las Vegas - Mccarran Intl, NV, be a decent first bid for an intermediate car?
How do I ensure that unlimited miles are part of the deal?
Priceline seems easier to use than Hotwire - any thoughts?
Thanks for any advice!
What a terrific thread. :) I'm contemplating my first car bidding ever and this is useful information. I never even thought about them trying to unload a boat of a vehicle on me when I requested a mid-size. :)
Since you guys are obviously in the know, may I run something by you? I don't know if this is the right place so I'm going to assume it probably isn't and I'll apologize in advance.
I'm trying to rent a vehicle for five days in Las Vegas for this time next month. I've scoured all of the websites and the lowest published price I've seen is $17.00 p/day for an intermediate.
Would bidding $10.00 p/day for a compact, picked-up and returned to Las Vegas - Mccarran Intl, NV, be automatically refused? What would you bid for an intermediate car and please keep in mind I've never done this before so I am as new as new can be. Priceline seems easier to use - any thoughts?
Thanks for any advice!
