Started with $64 4* bid for White House region only. Had to inch up the price, drop the star level and add an area
in order to have a bid accepted. Feel OK about the winning bid -- it's a last-minute business trip. Didn't have time
to lose a bid and didn't want to spend too much. Hotel seems fine for the $$$.
Oops...looks like the title was cut off. Sorry I didn't break it into title/subtitle.
Wining bid is $68. Dates are 6/3-6/5/2010. 3* hotel,
Courtyard By Marriott Convention Center
Tried a $40 starting bid since others had luck with this and it was accepted straightaway. Last time we used Priceline, we ended up in Hilton (very nice). This time we got Doubletree.
Seems like $60 is a pretty safe bid for a 3* Seattle Airport (SEATAC) hotel.
Best of luck!
... and are the HOTWIRE amenities associated with the property the same as you posted above? (as i'm seeing a hotel with very different amenities than previously posted)
I'm not sure what dates you're searching and what you are seeing, but I listed exactly what I saw on a
Hotwire search for October 14-15. I can't explain the discrepancy. Maybe different availability on
different dates? Good luck!
Are you still seeing the Garden City hotel on a current HOTWIRE search? If so, are you searching for more than one room or for more than the defaults 2adults?
Yes, I am searching HOTWIRE for one room with two adults, and I still see a Garden City-Uniondale 3*
hotel available for 10/14-15, although now the price has increased to $209.
Any clues what this might be? We've booked the Marriott at their $269 rack rate, but it would
be nice to do better.
Can anyone help me identify Hotwire 3* hotels for Long Island:
Mellville-Plainview -- listed at $115 for 10/14-15
(complimentary breakfast, fitness center, business center, high-speed internet access)
Garden City-Uniondale -- listed at $162 for 10/14-15
(complimentary breakfast, fitness center, business center)
(we are looking for rooms for a family funeral.)
Thanks so much!
Good deal! For future (and other peoples') reference, it looks like HOTWIRE offers rooms at what is probably the same hotel (ESA Olympia) for slightly cheaper (around $39). I'm thinking of staying there in November. Have a great trip, and post a review!

Nice. Happy with that!
