For Friday 11/11-11/12/11 I bid all the way up to $95. Once I hit $95, Priceline offered the room at $119. I chose to book another hotel through another online travel site, but in my experience Priceline probably would have accepted a bid somewhere between $105 and $111. Not much of a deal. H.I. website was listing a room for $134 or $127 w/AAA discount.

Originally just bid for one day 11/09/11. After winning, Priceline offered a second day at the same price. When I checked into the hotel and found that it was in great shape and great location, I took them up on their second day offer.
First bid at $55 was rejected, but priceline offered the room at $67.
Second bid at Red Lion Coos Bay, OR for $61 was accepted. Travel sites were listing this room at $79.
started with $65 in Eureka (Eureka) 2.5 star - Rejected.
added Eureka (Arcata - McKinleyville) and bid $74 which was accepted.
2.5 star was showing the green "best deal" star in the Arcata zone.
Holliday Inn Express was $110 retail that day.
I might have been able to get a lower price by starting with the Arcata zone.
I didn't see Arcata listed as one of the Eureka zones in the California cities better bidding list.
Checked 3 star and Monterey and bid $80 was rejected but they offered me a room at $102.
Added Marina Seaside and bid $86 - rejected.
Added Pacific Grove and bid $91 which was accepted and upgraded to 3.5 stars.

I was trying for the Monte Carlo, 3.5*, but was upgraded to a 4* without a choice.
My first bid was for a 3.5* on the south strip for 106. My bid was countered for $125 but i rejected it.
I then added Nellis - Speedway and bid $111. Priceline rejected and countered $125 again.
I added Boulder Strip at $118 which was accepted with the "upgrade" to Planet Hollywood.

I Bid $170 for NYC on Upper West Side 4* from 12/13/08 to 12/16/08. I was accepted on the first bid by The Empire Hotel, so I might have been able to get it lower. It is still a great rate for New York and at a great hotel. The total was $510 for 3 nights plus $97.31 in tax/fees.

First bids from $75 to $100 in Point Loma and Mission Valley for 2.5* were rejected.
Then the first bid of $100 for 3* Downtown and Harbor Island was accepted. I made the mistake of not trying for a lower price first. Next time I will follow the suggested bidding tips more closely.
